DSK Benelli unveiled 4 new superbikes at the 2016 Auto Expo - TRK 502, Tornado 300, TNT Naked T-135 and BX 250. Benelli also showcased ABS variants of the TNT 600 GT and TNT 600 i. These bikes will make their way to the showrooms in the near future.

TRK 502:


The suspension includes an adjustable upside down front fork, and a swingarm with monoshock at the rear. Suspension travel = 150mm front and rear:



2 front discs, 320 mm in diameter, and two-piston floating calliper in the front. The rear disc is 260 mm in diameter and is also gripped by a twin piston calliper.



This touring motorcycle is powered by a twin-cylinder four- stroke liquid-cooled 500cc, with electronic injection, overhead double camshaft timing system and 4 valves per cylinder:


It churns 47 BHP (at 8500 rpm) and 45 Nm of torque (at 4500 rpm). Its 6-speed gearbox is controlled by a hydraulic clutch:




Tornado 300:


The front gets a 110/70 tire and in the rear is a 150/60 tire on 17" aluminium alloys. This bike uses twin 260 mm floating discs with a 4-piston calliper brake at the front and a single 240 mm disc with a single piston calliper brake for the rear:



41 mm upside down forks at the front and a lateral shock absorber on the rear swing arm:




Internationally, the Tornado 302 is powered by an in-line two cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, DOHC engine, producing 35 BHP (at 12000 rpm) and 27 Nm (at 9000 rpm). The engine is mated to a 6 speed gearbox. Not sure what the Indian Tornado 300 will be powered by:

It's powered by an equally small 135 cc single-cylinder engine tuned for 12.4 BHP and 10.8 Nm of torque; mated to a 5-speed gearbox:

It is powered by a 250cc single-cylinder engine (25 BHP / 21 Nm):

That one looks fantastic. Any information on the pricing? Even the 1130 and 1130R looks stunning.

Considering their usual pricing being slightly more realistic it will be interesting.

Good coverage again and i do feel Benelli is in for the long haul and we can start to see customer feedback change the dynamics of some of their bikes including exhaust note and power delivery.

Thanks S2!!! and Tushar for this extensive coverage. I have been an admirer of Benelli for quite some time now. Therefore, it's really good to see Benelli bring in so many new products to our market. I like the TRK 502, TNT1130R, Tornado Tre 1130. But still TNT 600i remains my favourite because of the design and the unbeatable sound of its inline 4 engine!

I had always seen the TRK's profile and was not impressed at all. The 'long beaked' bird looks or whatever was it; shape was unimpressive to me. However, this is the first time I am seeing the front of the bike. It looks seriously mean, I really love it.

1130 TRE, those radiator fans under the seat is indeed unique, they look awesome. I wish to see these in flesh. From my limited experience of spending some time at the showroom and Someone who "almost" owned a Benelli, I am sure these bikes will be well built like the ones already in the market. I am looking forward to the new releases. Impressive indeed!

I'm sure we can get to see a few if not all of these bikes at DSK-Benelli dealerships this year. I bet you can see most of them at the India Bike Week (Feb 19-20) if you make your way to Goa this year. Bear in mind that the Tornado Tre 1130 is not a new bike. It's one of Benelli's old models from the early 2000's.

Many websites are claiming that Benelli is on the verge of launching a 250 cc Motard motorcycle called the BX 250 and the much publicized TNT135 which is akin to the Honda Grom and the Rajdoot GTS 175 of yesteryears. These are however not confirmed yet but there is no reason to believe that they will not be launched since a GS 310 based adventure bike from BMW, a 390 Duke based KTM adventure bike have been photographed and those photographs are doing the rounds on the net. Given Benelli's aggresive strategy it is no surprise that they are getting ready to launch these motorcycles. Even if these are rumours they are believable.
