The Norton brand still has some pull left in it.
And they are still in production. (Very limited though)

But, i am not too sure what Mahindra will benefit economically from this acquisition.

Absolutely. The last thing I would ever want to see in this life, is the infamous Mahindra walrus tooth on a BSA's or a Norton's derrière.
