2017 Bajaj Pulsar range (220f, 180, 150 & 135 LS) launched

Bajaj has launched the updated 2017 Pulsar range, including the 220f, 180, 150 and 135 LS. Save for the Pulsar 150, all other updated Pulsars are now BSIV compliant. The automaker has named the 2017 collection of Pulsars as 'Laser Edged'.

All models under the new collection now come with a dual tone colour of blue & white. Bajaj claims that the new Pulsars get better seat cushioning and a revised exhaust unit, while the instrument cluster too has been tweaked slightly, as it now features blue backlit illumination instead of amber.

The Pulsar 135 LS is powered by a BSIV compliant, 135cc single-cylinder engine that develops 13.3 BHP and 11.4 Nm of torque. The Pulsar 150 meanwhile continues to be equipped with the BSIII engine, and thus only get the cosmetic tweaks as part of the 2017 update.

The Pulsar 180 draws power from a 180cc BSIV compliant single-cylinder engine that produces 17 BHP and 14.22 Nm of torque. The Pulsar 220 f is equipped with a BSIV complaint, 220cc engine, rated at 20.7 BHP and 19 Nm. All models come with a 5-speed gearbox.

Ex-showroom Delhi Prices of the updated Pulsar range are:
• Pulsar 135 LS - Rs. 60,178
• Pulsar 150 - Rs. 73,513
• Pulsar 180 - Rs. 79,545
• Pulsar 220f - Rs. 91,201

Though a nice and well directed move to stay updated with the current emission norms (apart from cosmetic tweaks), but still couldn't understand why they left out the 150?

Does this mean that the 200NS has been silently put to rest or am I missing something here? The new 400 is now going to be the flagship model of the group and I am not sure if they would like to continue with the 200 as well.

I guess 200NS was stopped to make way for AS200. Now the new 400 will definitely be the flagship, taking the crown held by RS200.

There are reports of Bajaj launching the 150NS (which is currently being exported). Maybe they intend to replace the old 150 with the 150NS is urban areas and continue with the cheaper 150 in the tier-3 cities and rural areas. The 200AS, with its fairing, would look different from the 150NS.
