Definitely not!

I have ridden a fz25 close to 100km on the highway. It was super smooth even at 120+ kmph.

Talking of 4 stroke Yammies, I got the chance of being on an R3 yesterday for about 40 km city + highway. It was super smooth and refined.

What I missed on the fz25 on highways, I had it on the R3. It pulls strongly and has a strong top end. Talk about cruising highways! Seating was surprisingly identical to fz25.

But again, its 3 times as expensive, but if you are someone who tours a lot, and want a perfect upgrade from the CBR250R, look nowhere else!

PS: Handling department, fz25 beats the R3.

The difference between handling in R3 & Fz25 is the same between Fz25 & 2017 D390.

So when it comes between R3 and 2017 Duke 390, an young enthusiast will always prefer the duke. I am not even comparing the RC390 here.

I wish FZ-25 came equipped with better compound tires, maybe the one the original R15 had. Teeny weeny slides are present in tight corners when I am wide-open-throttle.

Re: Yamaha teases new naked motorcycle. EDIT: FZ25 launched at Rs. 1.20 lakh

Fun little motorcycle this. I got it to commute and ride it to the hills. It is doing both duties pretty commendably. The distance to hills is close to 150/200 kms from where I stay and it does manage to keep up with bigger machines while cruising.

Now, not going over 120, but it simply doesn't feel strained below 120. I wish to add better tires for hills and when $$ permit, maybe something like the N-400, but I am not going away from Japs for sure.

Hey FZ25 Owners. Can anyone let me know how to decode the VIN or Frame No. for the FZ25? I have a fair idea. But want to be sure. Appreciate your inputs on the same. Thanks in Advance.

Hey FZ25 owners has anyone done a tail tidy yet?

Got the wheel alignment checked and made sure pads are not jammed or anything. Anyways replaced with new pads now hope these lasts longer. Will keep you posted.
Got this from Fz25 whats app group.

Hope it help other owners too.

I picked up a FZ25 last December and decoded mine from the above reference. Mine is a November 2017 make.

Till now did 560km on the odo and am loving every bit of it. I upgraged from a Karizma R. Planning to write an ownership review soon.

My steed-

My FZ25 with Bhpian SvkRiders Cbr250.

Re: Yamaha teases new naked motorcycle. EDIT: FZ25 launched at Rs. 1.20 lakh

I can’t decide as to who is more hungry 😋 in the trip, me or this FZ25. For my kind of riding, I wish it had a redline at 90kmph in 2nd gear.

Might think of a better grade fork oil and some suspension setting changes plus maybe a tire change to exploit my and ride’s potential up in the hills.

Any if you got lower figures than this?

Re: Yamaha teases new naked motorcycle. EDIT: FZ25 launched at Rs. 1.20 lakh

Guys any idea when the FZ25 will be equipped with ABS? The more humble bikes (< 200 cc) like CB Hornet, Apache RTR, Suzuki Gixxer etc are all equipped with ABS. What I read was that from 01st Apr 2018, the ABS will be made mandatory in all bikes above 125 cc capacity. How come Yamaha is still silent on this?

As one of the first owners of the FZ25, I have a funny feeling that Yamaha may take another 2yrs before introducing a BS-VI version of the FZ25...

...And that version will surely have Metzeler Rubber and ABS!!

Look at the R3 for example. It took them nearly 3years to give that combo, and they did not even have the dignity to offer a new shade.

FZ25 is a wonderful machine, but trust me guys, a tiny bit of hard braking and the rear will swing like the wagging tail of an excited pooch.

I guess that's pretty normal for aggressive TWO riding on fz25. I got the same on 100km of highways
