re: Ridden: Bajaj Dominar 400

I must admit, although I like the Red shade, the blue is too light and garish for the Dominar, especially with the Golden rims.

I much prefer this matte wrapped blue dominar. Looks understated, yet classy and elegant as well.

As for the red, it looks much better than the blue, but still cant match the colour of the CS400 concept which had a maroon tint to it. It seems to be a shade lighter as well:

Yet to confirm if the two shades are the same or different. But, it looks like the production version is a shade lighter atleast. Only time will tell...

re: Ridden: Bajaj Dominar 400

After ticking 3700 kms in odo in 4months it really hurts me thinking of my Bullet experience. Planning a small weekend long trip in coming month.

There's a lot of difference. I have a midnight blue Dominar. This colour tilts towards black while the new blue colour is more like sky blue

re: Ridden: Bajaj Dominar 400

I don't see the old White, blue and black colours on the website. Does this means those colours are discontinued? any one aware of any changes done to the 2018 bikes? the website doesn't specifically mention about any changes.

Yes. They will be discontinued. Some stocks manufactured in 2017 end might still trickle through to some dealers.

Oh well. Looks like my colour was a limited edition then. But somehow the white and plum red stands out even now when compared to the new flashy colours. Black and white combination was done perfectly. Not too black and not too white. Attaching a picture of my bike.

re: Ridden: Bajaj Dominar 400

Booked mine in Red today. Delivery estimate by Khivraj Bangalore is in the week of 22nd January. They are claiming that there is a soft launch on 16th for the new colours, post which the deliveries will commence. Any one heard differently from any other dealers? Amba Bajaj receptionist was quite confident of delivering the bike on 16th itself , not sure how

A properly tuned ECU can surely be expected on the 2018 Dominar. Would be great if the resonance vibration at certain RPM ranges issue has been tacked as well.

Personally I have nothing against the 182 Kg kerb weight but would have liked to see a lower seat height (around 760-780 mm from the current 800 mm. After all its a Power Cruiser right?).

Hoping that the next upgrade (2019 editions) gets a lower seat height.

Dealership has no information whatsoever, was offered a longish test drive on a white dominar, claiming only colours have changed. They don't know, if there are any difference between 2017 and 2018 matte black colour. They don't have information on the default alloy colour on red as well.

Golden coloured rims will be standard on 2018 edition and older blue, white and plum colours have been discontinued.

Absolutely!

White Dominar has the presence which none other colour has. It stands out and looks elegant, like a proper big bike.

re: Ridden: Bajaj Dominar 400

Got my Red Dominar Delivered on Saturday from Khivraj Bajaj, Marathahalli, Bangalore. Overall a very pleasant Experience with them. documentation, payment, delivery date everything was given very clear at the beginning and they stuck to their commitment.
surprisingly very good sales experience. May be it's just Khivraj.
