MARKET SHARE ANALYSIS

The below master chart signifies the market share each manufacturer holds month-on-month (M-o-M)

What I have done below is, split the data manufacturer wise so that a clearer picture is given as to how the share is being affected month-on-month

Re: January 2017: Two Wheeler Sales Figures & Analysis

HI Folks,
Does anyone have the breakup of Activa numbers between 110cc and 125cc variants?
Wanted to know if the buyers are really moving towards higher capacity scooters or they are happy with 110cc.

Re: January 2017: Two Wheeler Sales Figures & Analysis

Food for Thought:

[1] The Dominar has sold more in One Month, what Mojo has managed in One Year (that too with Deliveries limited just to few dealerships/cities for the time being)

[2] Second consecutive month in which just 1 Karizma dispatched to a Dealer. The production of Karizma definitely must have ceased for a few months now (this is how Brands Die)

[3] Navi numbers been juggling between (1,000-10,000). Numbers have still not settled to observe a trend

[4] RE Classic 350 Outsells all Pulsars Combined (Not just P150). Time for Mr. Bajaj to retrospect? Or maybe its due to the last batches of BSIII stocks being dispatched to the dealers.

(btw I have noticed that Bajaj has ditched the "India's No.1 Sports Bike" Tag for the PULSAR and reverted back to the "Definitely Male" tagline)

Wonderful thread Anurag, appreciate the efforts that you have put in for this compilation. Hope you can keep this coming month on month.

Suddenly the bike bug has bit me and I am on the look out for a 150cc to 300cc bike and nowadays I am spending considerable time in the Motorbikes section of TBHP. I am wondering why the below mentioned two bikes are not featuring in the Jan-2107 sales charts:
  • TVS Apache RTR 2004V &
  • Yamaha FZ25
Is it because these are pretty recent launches?

All the Apache (160/180/200) models numbers are clubbed together and published by SIAM.. since all these 3 models fall under the 150-200 cc engine category.

The Yamaha FZ25 numbers should come in Feb 2017 SIAM report.
