Re: Discounts on BS-III vehicles - Post all details here

A Navi free on purchase of a CBR!!
What am I hearing!

- Are these forwards actually true? Can someone who actually went to Honda showroom attest to it?
- How will the RTO manage to register so many vehicles on 1-2 days?
- Is it possible to book/buy the vehicle now and register them later?

Re: Discounts on BS-III vehicles - Post all details here

Looking at the stock situation from this thread:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...-vehicles.html

TVS seems to be sitting on a fairly large pile of BS3 motorcycles and scooters. No official statement from them, and no sign of this sort of deep discounting? I don't think they are big enough to simply liquidate, i.e., write-off the stock.

Same questions here. Can the registration be done if the invoice is made before 31Mar'17?

If the vehicle is sold before 1st April - then the RTO will register the vehicle post 1-Apr also. As long as you show the sale receipt dated pre-1-Apr.

Booking alone can't guarantee the registration post 1st April. Invoice has to be generated before 1st Apr and vehicle to be produced at RTO for registration within the stipulated time frame (I remember within a month, please correct me if I'm wrong)

Got a similar news, but if CBR is purchased at actual price (without the current discount of 22k)

re: List of discounts on BS-III Motorbikes & Scooters in your city

Honda is offering Navi for free if you book CBR 150 or CBR 250. Not sure how true it is.
Here is the rushlane link. As per rushlane it is only in Pune

https://www.rushlane.com/honda-navi-...-12175062.html

I booked a CBR 250R Repsol edition and got 24K discount.
FInal price 2.1 OTR ( including 100% insurance and extended warranty, and IND number plate) + 2 teflon coatings free and 1 yr AMC worth 1600 free

Oh Dear.
That would be a loophole.

The sales receipt could be forged/generated with Back Date by some 'innovative' dealers then, for sales just after 31 March.

Chances are they would have found buyers for the entire stock, probably inhouse. If you have an invoice dated before 01 April, you can register your bike within one month of the date of invoice, BS3 or not.

The buyers can resell these as used (actually unused, but registered) 2-wheelers.

Get ready for the upcoming OLX explosion!

I passed by a TVS dealership yesterday (Chattrapati TVS, Pune) and they have a large hoarding announcing discounts of "upto" 16,500 Rs. Not sure of the breakup.

Does that apply for cities like Mumbai which are already BS-IV - i mean weren't BSIII vehicles not to be sold since some months ago? I remember some large metros already moving to BSIV - found this news article on googling.

Re: Discounts on BS-III vehicles - Post all details here

For those who are doubtful regarding the TVS dealerships.

I have been to one and my friend is taking the delivery of his Apache 200 tomorrow. As of now, the dealer came to 15k in terms of discount and tomorrow we will go and sit at the dealership with 80k in our hands. Let's see who is more impatient

Rest, entire TVS range is coming with huge discounts ranging between 10 to 15k.

Re: Discounts on BS-III vehicles - Post all details here

Had been to Tata showroom- Aadya Motors (Near Hebbal, Bangalore) yesterday to check if any discounts available for Tata Nano. The sales rep said that waiting time is 2-3 months for most of the models & currently no discounts for the Nano BS III cars. When I told him about the BS IV norms which would be effective from 1st April, 2017, he replied stating that the company would fit additional fittings to make the vehicle BS IV compliant. Not sure how far it is possible to be implemented practically.
