Was planning to change my bike 6 months from now, but these offers are tempting me. Always loved the Honda cbr, Honda had cbr from almost 7-8 years now, is it still a good buy? Or please suggest any bike which is affected by the bs3 judgement

Requirement

1. Should be comfortable for b2b bangalore traffic

2. Reliable machine.

3. I had Yamaha r3 in my mind but have never given a test ride.

What do you guys suggest, pick a bike right away or maybe wait for sometime, take proper test ride and then decide?

It's time to buy right now. You are already late (hopefully not too late by now). Do a test ride if possible, if not, trust online reviews from trusted publications and proceed without test ride.

Contacted Thane Honda dealer for an exchange of my Activa to new Aviator. The dealer said 200+ scooters sold in a single day, all inventory cleared. Tomorrow's day exclusively for RTO paper work. I was like, is this a trick or something?

A friend of mine is looking to buy a Honda Unicorn or Hornet. A few dealers he called didn't have stock. Is there any way of knowing which dealer has BS III stock?

One dealer that I spoke to said that the onus of registering the BS3 vehicle will be on the buyer, so need to factor in that aspect too.

Coming to Honda dealers, it looks like the Activa has proven to be bigger than all other brands. I personally have been to 3 Honda dealers and my friends also visited at least 10 of them - not a single Activa available anywhere. Not only this, at some places, the dealership floor was having nothing but tables and chairs.

On the other hand, TVS dealers are the ones which will be seen throwing awesome and mouth watering deals tomorrow. Only the TVS dealers which are in the heart of cities have been able to clear some stocks, the ones in outskirts and less populated areas are sitting with a decent inventory. Perfect time to buy Apache 200 IMO

EDIT: Confirmed news:
A Honda dealer at Haridwar cleared all his stock - last were 2 pieces of Navi, one sold at 20k and another has gone for even lower probably.

All the stocks of Hero and Honda scooter are sold, as far as I know. There is mad rush for buying vehicles. Popular models are not available, very few slow moving are available.

KHT Tata in Bangalore has BS3 Tata Sumo at a very good discount. Contact them if interested.

KHT Chevrolet has no BS3 Tavera's though.

Correct, When I was in the Honda Showroom I observed that their staff is not enough to handle all the customers visiting today. For the first half of the day it was customers negotiating and getting the better deals, towards the end of the day it was the other way with increasing number of customers

I was in the same situation yesterday. Honda offered 10K on CBR and Mahindra offerd 20K on Mojo.
Today Morning I again got a call for 20K offer on Honda CBR 250R, I have driven friends bike only once in the parking lot, but read so many reviews on the bike. booked it with 24K discount + few goodies
I think by now most of the dealers have cleared the stock

That is not a trick it is correct. Tomorrow will be all hell broken loose at the RTO offices.

I am wondering how will they handle the extra workload, also what happens to those vehicles which are not granted temporary registration due to the overwhelming number of vehicles sold today.
