You're going to have to upjet it, no matter what airfilter.

Ram-jet is a bit of a misnomer. I think you are talking about a velocity stack system. But again, gains will be minimal since the base power o/p is so low.

You COULD try and buy a used head from somewhere, sit and enlarge the ports and make the flow of fluids better. Would be a great learning experience too.

yes indeed, it would be a great learning experience.
just spoke to a mechanic, he said, he will help me open my bike's engine, but a problem - the mechanic is outside the city - Ghatkesar (30 km drive). But still I want to make it, may be after 18th, got to finish some family business.

i have a '93 hh cd 100ss. with 47,000 km on the odo. top speed of 70 kmph max. and takes around 20 sec.s (some times more than that) to accelrate to 60 kmph. but has a good fuel efficiency of 60kmpl & 70kmpl in city and highway repectively.

I want to increase the pickup to around 15 sec.s to 60kmph. I am willing to cut down around 5 kmpl on the fuel efficiency charts.
can any one suggest me the modifications i need to be done to my bike; also advice me low cost modifications or upgrades.
The honda 100 engine takes around 10sec to get to 60kmph. The activa comes to 60kmph in 12 secs...what are u saying man?
either u are not revving it properly of what?
Here in bangalore, a CD100 drag bike completed the quarter mile in 21secs with an exit speed of 90+..but that bike was heavily modded and really light, but still it hits good figures man.
One of my pal is building a drag bike absed on the splendor's engine to compete in the 80-110cc 4-stroke class. Its bored to 109cc and wil be pretty fast.
