Here's how the new kid stands amidst its rivals!
Not able to get ARAI FE's for this.

Good stuff. So it isnt a fuel injected engine right ? Also, are the electricals DC and will it come with Combi brakes or whatever the TVS equivalent is called ?

We have a Ray Z at home predominantly used by wife. The headlight not being in the handlebar makes it lighter at least for women folk to handle compared to conventionally mounted lights. In terms of throw and illumination I do not notice much difference between the Ray Z and Wego that my dad uses. In fact after riding the Ray Z, handling the Wego feels a bit harder for the initial few minutes of riding it.
Back to topic, this is a very good looking scooter released by TVS with some decent power and torque numbers. Looks very similar to the SR150 from some angles. But at 116 odd kilos is a bit on the heavier side compared to other scooters in the segment. But the amount of info this displays in the speedometer console puts my Gixxer speedo console to shame. Mind you Gixxer is the better one in the segment compared to Hornet, Fz and the likes! And an engine kill switch in a scooter - Shame on you Honda for not providing it in a premium 150-160cc offering like the Hornet! :uncontrol
I find the subtle copying of Aprilia Sr150 (Handlebar) and Yamaha RayZ (Side Fairing).
Also a very uncanny observation: Whats an Italian Flag doing on the handle bar?

That's the Indian tricolour, not the Italian flag.

That is the Indian Tri color. It looks similar to the Italian colors due to the photo quality. It's a nice touch which TVS first used on the RR310.

Sorry to say this, but TVS has been using right from the RTR 180 days. It's a subtle touch to make the country proud.
Coming to the scooter, I think she looks funky and handful at the same time.
@dual disc 200. Is it so. Apologies. I was not aware. Where exactly was the tricolour on the RTR180?

I know this is :OT , but to those who are curious to know the answer, its there in the rear tail section, right below the point where rear grab handle joins the tail section, the 'RTR 180' sticker is there after that. TVS calls it "Tri-coloured race insignia".
Not sure from when they have been using it though. Check the TVS apache website for pictures.
I was desperately waiting for this scooter for months. Now that they've exceeded a lot of expectations, need some questions answered!
1) Is it fuel injected? As far as I understand, technicians today are completely clueless about tuning a carburettor! Or another way to put the question- IS THERE A CHOKE for this scooter? Atleast in the pictures?
2) Are the bookings open? Expected delivery? Cause even the Akula 310 bookings aren't open yet! Do we have to wait for a few years before getting delivery? In that case, I'll get the Access 125.

There is a picture of the engine with the carburetor on it in the TVS Ntroq website, pasting it here for reference. Most of the current rides in that segment are not fuel injected.
Bookings as far as I know are open, for deliveries you may want to check with your local dealer as it changes with the location & dealer.
I regret buying Activa 125 (with disc) 16 months back. If TVS workshop is in your vicinity, this one is no-brainer.
Take my money and give me one of this nTorq thingy.
Wow. I am stunned. I am currently using a wego 110, and I was waiting for one scooter with a Disc Brake, better pulling power and fuss free experience. Wego served me well, no issues and great package (except the braking).
My BIL's Access 125 ticked everything but the retro styling with chrome is a big turn off for me. So I did not intend to upgrade. But this Ntorq 125 sure looks promising, and sounds promising.
I walked into INDIAN TVS, in bellandur (Bangalore) the day the unveiling was done. The show room guys had no clue about the scooter!:Frustrati
I might visit the Kubera TVS in HSR today evening to see if they are any better.
Spoke to sales guy in Prakruthi TVS Ganganagar Bangalore. They confirmed the vehicle will be available by end of month. I have left my number and asked them to call me back once the bookings are open.
Any word on when their Electric scooter will be released? Would love it if Ather Energy, TVS, Honda and Suzuki all bring in their electric scooters around the same time! Fun times ahead.
