[Update:

The motorcycle was simply left untouched. I don't find time or the climate to ride it. It has been raining frequently and I am spoilt by my ciaz's supreme comfort.

I was free today and hence decided to have the bike serviced. First paid service it is.
All fluids including coolant, brake oil, engine oil, air filter, oil filter, front disc pad has been changed.

Total damage to wallet - 4.4k






That's some money to spend on a utility that you don't use



Anyways let me see if I can put it to use for atleast the morning gym runs, or I should atleast sell it away. Pains to see such a wonderful machine gathering dust in the garage.

I'd suggest, don't give it off, at least yet. Yes, monsoon are taking its toll on riders and so is the every growing traffic. But, why not make a new timetable, like early morning blasts and then continue off to gym as you usually do. This way, you ride it, with less traffic, and after the ride, you can proceed to your usual chores.

My two cents.

Will be sad to see this go. To whomever it goes, hope it goes to a deserving hand and those "pullingow" types. Spell checkers, kindly ignore the radical term, it's one that's been trending off late.

Update:

Been 15 months since last update on this thread.

Km run in the last 15 months - 230 km

Odo : 9480 km

The bike was unused for 9 months at a stretch last year. Result- failed fuel pump and drained battery.

Replaced the fuel pump and put in a new battery. Total expense was 6500 INR.

I am selling it. The deal might be finalised the next week.






Rode the bike about 30 km today. One lovely motorcycle it is! But I personally have lost the childhood interest of mine towards riding. May be, 10 years down the line, if midlife crisis hits, let's think about motorcycles again.

My KTM RC 390 is sold!!

Very happy to have sold it to someone who is a teambhp reader. He has gone through this ownership thread since the start, I came to know.

Almost 4 years , and just 9920 km used. I did not do justice to the wonderful machine that the RC 390 is. It deserved an owner who would actually put it to use.

Am happy it will clock some miles atleast from now on.

Rahul, if you are reading this, I wish you the best with your RC390! Ride safe and enjoy the machine to the fullest !!
