Although everyone was super enthusiastic and made promises to resolve the issue, my friend never got any call or follow-up from the officials or the dealership! He decided against chasing them by himself because of this previous bad experinece with the dealers, and coz he has no contact info of the officials. Well...NO YAMAHA?

End of the day it's the same story everywhere - when dealership meets are arranged in the presence of company men, everyone acts like customer satisfaction was the reason they came into business, post which its back to everyday routine of making money.

Somewhat true, sales vs service support are worlds apart. I have a couple of things to report, which I will do so in the Ownership report.

Meanwhile had a quick ride to Markonahalli Dam and the odo is inching towards the 750 kms mark. Bhpian Arun Josie joined in too, he is on a race towards 200,000 kms on his Linea.

Completed the first service and R3 has seen a couple of highway runs. The odo stands at 1505 kms.

Planned a photoshoot this Sunday morning. If the photoshoot happens, the ownership thread should come up in a week's time.

R3 is readily available atleast in chennai. No waiting periods, walk in with money and come out with the bike.

Availability is there but there is a waiting period of 15 days. For the blue, black if in stock is readily available.

No stock of R3 anywhere in Bangalore. Minimum waiting period is around 10 days. One of the dealer told that the company has restricted the stock as they plan to launch the new model. Expected launch of new model is between mid January to early March.

True the new model should be available not later than March 2019. But I think the all new fully digital speedo is something that I did not like and hence went ahead with my buy and bought the Black R3 in Nov 2018. Enjoying the bike a lot. It has lot of power and desperately needs the Slipper clutch.
