Re: Aditya Kapoor: 35,000 km around the world on a Triumph Bonneville

Aditya has concluded his RTW Quest yesterday at Prithvi Theatre, the same place from where he started 315 days ago. Here's his concluding interview:

Re: Aditya Kapoor: 35,000 km around the world on a Triumph Bonneville

35000 Kms, 15 countries, at age 60 - all the numbers are mind blowing ! I am really amazed just thinking of this feat !

Really enjoyed the description of the adventure which is so emotionally rewarding; thanks for sharing! While some time we get depressed considering our age (I am 51), but fascinating person like Mr. Aditya Kapoor is there to inspire us to face new challenges.

Would love to get more pictures and detail about this epic journey!

Wow, what a post. Thanks so much for sharing this. It is kind of nostalgic to know that someone at this age can endeavor to do something like this. This is really inspirational for all those out over there who have unfulfilled passions and dreams.

Re: Aditya Kapoor: 35,000 km around the world on a Triumph Bonneville

The update (Nonstop Driver has also posted a lovely video of the homecoming) on Aditya Kapoor's website. Aditya has collected 1500 GB of pictures and data from his world tour and he has hinted that a book on his adventure is in the offing.

The update link below, wherein he shares memories of his as a child, going with his Dad and sibling every weekend to his grandfather Mr Prithviraj Kapoor's house in Juhu is now a fond remembrance. His two uncles, Mr Raj and Mr Shashi and their children too used to come here. The children would go to the nearby Juhu beach and to Hotel Sun' N Sand (now Ramada), chirp around , have a swim and so on. Mr Shashi Kapoor, Aditya's younger uncle had converted the ancestral house (where his dad and Mom Mr Prithviraj Kapoor and his wife Ms Ramsarni resided - they both passed away within two weeks of one another viz. 29th May and 14th June 1972 respectively) to Prithvi Theatre, to let the first love of his Dad for Theatre remain alive for proliferation, by theatre lovers.

In the backdrop such immense nostalgia of the Kapoor family towards this property, Aditya had commenced his ride from this premises. He also preferred to end his tour at the same premises.

At Nagpur, Aditya had halted with his cousin sister Ms Anuradha's family. Ms Anuradha is the daughter of Ms Urmila and Mr Charanjit Singh Sial. Ms Urmila is the real sister of Messrs Raj, Shammi and Shashi Kapoor. In fact, Ms Anuradha's husband Mr Prakash, though my senior is my childhood friend.

I am more interested in the pictures and videos. Especially if they are POV from his bike ride. Would be interesting to see the different landscapes.

Not sure whether this Triumph Bonneville T 100 of Mr Aditya Kapoor, now with a celebrity status among all such Indian examples is also on the company recall list, with a defective wiring harness as reported here in this link below :

This bike has done the world tour flawlessly and no such issues of any niggles were told by him either during his talk or during his personal interaction with me.
