Bajaj Pulsar 150 with twin disc brakes launched at Rs. 78,016

Bajaj Auto has launched a new variant of the Pulsar 150, which comes equipped with disc brakes at both ends. It is priced at Rs. 78,016 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and will be sold alongside the single disc variant.

The motorcycle comes with a single 260 mm disc in the front and a 230 mm disc in the rear. However, it does not get ABS. In addition to the twin disc setup, the new Pulsar 150 receives other updates like split seats, split rear grab handle and a 37 mm telescopic front fork. Additionally, the wheelbase has been lengthened and the bike rides on a 120 mm rear tyre - 20 mm wider than the standard Pulsar 150. Bajaj also claims that the twin disc variant has lower NVH levels.

The Pulsar 150 Twin Disc uses the same 149.5 cc, single-cylinder, DTS-i engine as the single disc model. The engine puts out 13 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 13.4 Nm of torque @ 6,000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The new Pulsar 150 with twin disc brakes is offered in 3 dual-tone colour options - Black Blue, Black Red and Black Chrome.

If people are considering this to any other alternative in the 150cc segment than the CBR 150R then I'm honestly confused to where the markets priorities lie.

Kudos to Bajaj for giving the consumers the tried and tested ergonomics of its bigger siblings not to mention the dual disk setup.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 with twin disc brakes launched at Rs. 78,016

I thought all two wheelers above 125cc were supposed to have ABS after April 1st 2018 as per Govt. rules. Why is this launched without ABS?

Being Bajaj, I would like to have seen them coming front to be the first to launch ABS in this segment.
