One area which is making a difference for Bajaj (vs. other manufacturers) is scooters where they have nil presence. Scooters are bringing in very good numbers for almost every manufacturer which has a model in its portfolio. Bajaj moved away from this segment after the debacle of Wave, Safire, Spirit, etc and has focused on motorcycles only.

Bajaj does R&D to improve its motorcycles and rightly so. However their uncanny habit of killing models/brands, even established ones, doesn't inspire confidence among the buyers.

As per the Admin @ Auto Punditz, got the clarity on the numbers for Bajaj vehicles:
