Re: Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition revealed

If I am correct Sandstorm, which has almost identical paint scheme costs 1.85lacs. So does those soft panniers, pegasus logo cost 65K? Am I missing any other equipment? How difficult is it convert a regular Desert storm to Pegasus edition?

I think the Sandstorm is the 350cc while this is the 500cc.

That is the cost of owning a limited edition. One of 250.

Is it worth or not? Obviously a buyer's personal choice.

Re: Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition revealed

Royal Enfield puts out the same 60-year-old bike with a different paint job and calls it an innovative new product, while bragging about WWII heritage and history and blah blah blah. And people fall for it as usual. News at 11. Yawn.

Re: Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition revealed

Bullet/Classic IS a 60-year old bike series with its share of old world quirks and if they bring any drastic changes to it, many of us won't even bother to look at it. There's the Himalayan or the upcoming Twins series for the new age lovers. Live and let live. )

Re: Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus Edition revealed

Showed my old man pictures of the pegasus and he having been a paratrooper himself for 31 years, that too from one of the original 4 special forces battalions, turned his nose in disgust. "This is sacrilege" he said, and started to walk away. When told about the flying flea he said "those may have been commissioned in the war. they were soldiers who earned the right to wear our colours and insignia. this is foolish mockery of my regiment. how is this even allowed.." He trailed off while eyeing his swords hanging on the wall, contemplating murder, presumably.

He's gotten a little melodramatic since retirement.

Adding ABS to their entire range would've made more sense than this. Would've been better marketing strategy if you ask me.
