Thread moved out from the Assembly Line. Thanks for sharing!

The Honda CBR250R has gone from 2 units in February, to 80 units in March to a staggering 559 units in April!

These manufacturer-reported sales numbers are factory dispatches to dealerships. They are NOT retail sales figures to end customers.

It would be interesting to know how many were actually purchased by customers. I'm speculating it's much, much lower than the 559 units dispatched to various dealerships.

Only natural since the 2018 version was launched by March end. 80 units in March could be the display vehicles dispatched to dealers and April will contain all TD bikes and initial dispatches.

Need to give it an additional 3-4 months to see the long term sales effect.

Looks like Honda salesmen and dealers came off from a boisterous annual sales planning event. Would be interesting to see if they can maintain the momentum for the next 11 months and how well the dealers co-operate for the rest of the year.

Holy batman Honda! Almost caught Hero which no one might have predicted. I even read multiple reports last month about how scooter market is saturated and there is no room to grow unlike Hero's budget motorcycles. Is the increase in Activa sales because of the 5G model? They had healthy increases in their other budget bikes too. CB Shine had a good month for example and even the new X Blade seemed to have a very good start with 11k units off the shelf.

This is dispatch data, Honda tends to always load up in April month. Happened last year too.

April 2017, CB Shine showed growth of 50% approx and Activa of 35% approx over March.

Good to see the sales of RE himalayan slowly climbing. People seem to be willing to give it another chance. :)

Interesting, thanks for the info. So they produce/dispatch in bulk in April in anticipation of any sales spikes or is it just the way they produce? Just curious about the practice.

Honestly don't know. Could be just to start the FY off with a bang, could be because they meet last FY targets and hold off to get buffer for next year targets.

KTM sales figures does not seem to be listed here. Do they not share the data?

KTM is listed under Bajaj.

Lack of competition too.

Didn't expect the Dominar to outsell the Duke 390 by a factor of two till last month!

Guess the lack of street presence is another reason for the Dominars going unnoticed out in the open!
