Kawasaki India launches IKM Connect mobile app

India Kawasaki Motors has launches a new mobile app called IKM Connect for its existing customers.

Customers will first have to register to access the IKM Connect. If they are unable to register, they will have to contact a Kawasaki dealership. Using the app, customers can schedule a service and keep track of past services under the Service Health tab. It also has information about spare parts, events and upcoming service camps, which are operated by Kawasaki’s mobile service van.

The IKM Connect app has an accessories section, where customers can browse through genuine Kawasaki apparels, merchandise and vehicle accessories, which are used in the international market.

While the IKM Connect app is only available on the Android platform at present, it is expected to be available on iOS in the future.

From this month, the Kawasaki dealership in Delhi has introduced a doorstep servicing option for its customers. The dealership has deployed service vans that visit towns around Delhi that don't have authorised service centres at present.

Seems like a nice initiative by IKM. I downloaded, logged in and was able to access my Versys details. The only issue I had is that the app kept prompting me to provide feedback on my first service. And every time I gave a feedback, it said that the feedback was invalid. And it kept popping up.

Decent app from IKM. All it asks is the phone number, and the rest of the details are pulled from the backend.

Although that's an iPhone in the Kawasaki's IKM connect advertisement but it seems like that app is not available for users on iOS platform.

Really nice initiative by Kawasaki India team.

After installation, upon the first start it asks to enter my mobile number, and OTP is send on it. After passing the OTP phase, in my case I get option to select a Bike, but I couldn't. Now each time I open the app, it asks to only enter mobile number and then stuck on the Select Bike screen.
I reported this issue to dealer, and he replied app connects to back-end DMS to fetch data, and apparently my details weren't updated in their system. So on next service (Versys650, would schedule 2nd service in few days) I would request the service advisor to update the records, and then it would work for me. Would keep you guys posted.

The app has now been updated with the list of accessories for most of the bikes. For those who are interested in the list for the Versys 650 below are the accessories listed. There is also a
Monsoon Offer on the MY 17 V650 (16,000 off).
