Default Pulsar 220 DTS-FI Launched at killer price

Guys,

It seems tha tBajaj has done a soft launch of the 220 DTS-FI in Pune.

This is a mail from teh pro biking guys, posted on x-bhp.com

"Thanks for showing interest in our products, we have opened a new experience showroom "BAJAJ PROBIKING" at Godrej Castle maine opp Wadia college bund garden road, Near Ruby hall clinic, Pune. This show room is for new generation professional bikers like you. I would like to invite you to experience this show room once to know more of our bikes (Pulsar 180cc,220 cc and Avenger) and services we offer. Pulsar 220 is available in Black, Red, and Blue color. On road price Pune for Pulsar 220 DTS Fi is Rs.83595/-. For further clarifications please feel free to contact our associate Mr Anwar on no. given below, Regards,"

Link: Castrol xBhp

at 85,595 OTR, Bajaj has effectively slam dunked HH and any one else looking at the 200cc+ segment.

Cant wait for it to be launched in B'lore.

One thing strikes me as funny though- with a product as significant as the 220, y has Bajaj done such a soft launch?

Cheers

Himanshu

The price seems spot-on. Has the specs been changed? What's the news regarding 200?

IMO, the 200 looks hell lot better than 220.

And....whats the number of Mr. Anwar

Yes absolutely. 200 is the better looking one, the plus point in 220 apart from 220cc engine is the headlights, other things I dont remember. But I loved 200.

AFAIK, 200 is rated at 18 and 220 is 20 bhp.

Rear discs only for 220.

Frankly, I dont understand Bajaj's plans in introducing two bikes.
Three pulsars with about Rs. 10k difference and increments of 2 bhp. I think 180's gonna be cannibalized.
