Tronx One e-bicycle launched at Rs. 49,999

Tronx Motors has launched the first crossover electric bicycle called the Tronx One in India. It is currently being offered at an introductory price of Rs. 49,999. Pre-orders are now open, and the first batch will be delivered on July 16, 2018.

The Tronx One is based on a 19-inch mid-step thru frame made of an aluminium alloy and has twin telescopic front shock absorbers. It weighs approximately 25 kg excluding the battery. It features a digital instrument cluster and comes with an integrated app, which displays estimated range and can be used to set fitness goals. It has features like Pedal Assist, Walk Assist and Thumb Throttle.

The bike is powered by a 250-Watt rear hub motor and a 13.4 Ah lithium battery pack offering a claimed range of 45-50 km or 70-85 km on electronic gear Assist Mode. The battery pack is removable and can be recharged in 3-4 hours.

The Tronx One features multiple riding modes and has Virtual Gears with 3 Electric Gears and a 6-speed Shimano Tourney gear set. It can travel at speeds of 25 km/h. The bike comes with a front V brake and rear disc brake as standard. A front disc brake is available as an option.

Initially, the Tronx One will be available in 9 cities - Mumbai, Goa, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. It comes in 2 colour options - Magma Red and Pacific Blue.

The range of 45-50 KM seems to be too low. Also, what is the maximum speed of the bicycle without pedaling and at what speed will it last for the claimed range?

50k for 50km range @ 25kmph is not good value.
We get double of that performance for half the price in China.
BTW what happened to the e-bicycle launched by Salman Khan ?
