Lol. One and a half really. They only seem to have one plug in stock.

I'm also not sure if getting a single piece would be prudent.

Looking forward to seeing you here. I'll be back in WB for my final year, hopefully by August. So try planning before that.

Re: Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin

I ordered my bike on 16th november through the MIY app and still have not got the delivery.
Called up the showroom multiple times and they have not given any updates on the booking.

Written multiple complaint emails to RE and no response from them as well.

Any ideas on what else could be done.
Due to sheer frustration planning on cancelling the bike.

That's very strange and more than the usual wait period, even for the showroom bookings.

Have you added touring seat in your accessories? Per my experience and repeated reinforcements from my sales guy, adding touring seat is must to get it delivered fast (Not sure the reason tough ). Also I see @bangaloreguy has also added touring seat and got fast delivery.

I have not added the touring seat, but i get your point.
Just out of curiosity tried to make a new booking with touring seat and now the app shows delivery date as 01-feb.
This is very strange.

Any one here who did kind of adventure touring on RE twins? If yes, used any panniers for the luggage comfort?

Maybe RE feels people adding touring seats will want to go on a tour immediately and hence they should be given priority delivery before summer kicks in

I went on a ride from Delhi to Harsil right after the rains (Sept 2019). That itself made the ride quite adventurous especially in the hills because the roads barely existed and I was riding on gravel for hours. Fortunately, I was riding solo and had the luggage tied on the rear seat over the Viaterra saddlebag.

Recently I did a two up touring so got the Zana rear rack and tied luggage on the rack. Both the times I did not feel the need panniers.

Re: Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin

Just booked a GT650 on the MiY app. The booking amount has been deducted but there hasn't been any confirmation yet. The request just timed out. Called the customer care and they said it takes upto 24 hours to be updated in their system. Has anyone else experienced this while booking from the app?

Update: Seems RE's backend servers are generally slow. I got a mail stating my booking has been confirmed. Even booking an RE was an adventure!

Battery or RR Issue?

Hi Everyone

This one is a bit specific but I have started noticing from today that when I hit the starter button, the low battery sign keeps glowing for ~3 seconds and then goes away. I know that when the engine is not running all the lights on the dash glow and that is normal, but I want to know from other owners if even after turning on the engine, the light stays for a few seconds before it goes away or does it go away instantaneously?

I have heard of battery or RR issues in the bike in a video within warranty period and I hope this is not the case.

I bought the bike in November last year and have ridden it every day since then and have clocked 4,300 kms so far. So my usage is frequent and the bike is never left sitting for more than a day.

I would appreciate the feedback.

Re: Battery or RR Issue?

I noticed this when the ignition is kept on for sometime before hitting the starter button; if I immediately start after fuel pump noise goes away there is no batt light. I assume headlight is drawing power and coupled with heavy load starting which is leading to low voltage and thereafter charging brings back voltage to normal level.
