I'm nearly convinced to give a try on your suggestion. Appreciate if you may kindly share some tips or way by which to procure the rear suspension of CB 350 please as I'm very positive that Honda Bigwings will seldom sell the parts over the counter. Thanks

My Suspension set just came in today!! Will try it soon.
Did you have to change the bush on both the sides or only the bottom side of the suspension ?
Hope you like it. Considering other expensive options that we have, this is worth a shot at 4k for a pair.
Only the bottom bush needs to be changed. Any local neighborhood shock absorber guy would be able to install it in 15 mins.

I got it through a friend who has an interceptor and also a CB350. He is the one who tried on his bike first and sourced one for me by weaving some stories.

So the CB's suspension feels like a welcome change as its more supple and absorbs the harshness well.
Understood, I see your point. I came from Duke390 so for me Interceptor provided just the right amount of relief to the backside. And now having graduated to the ST, this feels a bit too much. I think a little stiffness in the suspension and progressive compression/rebound works better for my riding style.

Yay, I'm done! took the bike for a longish city ride and I'm loving this! the ride is much-much smoother at the rear and you don't feel the potholes like the OEM ones! The CB ones are really soft - when a heavy person (like me) sits on the bike you can see it go down a bit
These are slightly taller than the stock ones hence - the back wheel will always touch the ground even when the bike is on the main stand.

Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin-int5.jpg

So my feedback about the fitting as follows -

Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin-int.jpg

The height of the CB suspension is a little longer than the OEM ones -
The bottom bush and sleeve need to be changed as the CB has a much wider sleeve.
The top part is a direct fit
The silencer needs to be pulled a little to fit the bolt on the left-hand side.
It's a simple easy job - DIY took me about 45 mins.

Re: Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin

Long time since I have posted about my Black Widow, so here it goes

1)Changed from AEWs to custom end cans which has made the bike sound raspy and rumbly. Power delivery has also changed quite a bit.

2)Motone Tailights and MotoGadget mini indicators which are absolutely blinding at night.

3)Changed the oil to Amsoil from Castrol 10w40 and the bike has become so smooth that the stock bike feels unrefined.

4) The front suspension now feels sorted but that exposed the shortcomings of the rear quite a bit.

Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure!

Wow, nicely done! The custom end cans look unique and suit the bike really well. Did you import them and have someone locally build them for you?

How useful is that tank knee guard for you? When I test rode the bike (I am short at 168 cm), my knees were close to the cylinder head (where RE has thankfully fixed some guards), and nowhere close to the sculpted tank recesses.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, a general question to all the INT650 and GT650 riders on the forum.
Has anyone tried to fix the LED indicators that RE sells as accessories for the Meteor or the ones for the new Classic 350?

Other than the obvious lack of a mounting hole, what else could pose an issue?
May be a change of the flasher relay, to correct the flashing rate of the lamps?

Thanks in advance!

Hi mate, thank you for the compliment! The end cans are actually custom made by a workshop here in Pune. I wanted a megaphone but he suggested me to look at this one and it was love at first sight! The fact that it sounds the way I wanted it to sound was the icing on the cake.

I am about 6'3 so my knees almost reach the tank, the fact is you need to change the footpeg positioning for your knees to reach the tank which will be too expensive and the other option is just riding it as it is .

Is RE including the Tripper navigation with 2023 Interceptor?

I have a similar set up on my 2019 Interceptor. The aftermarket is already doing this. Royal Enfield seems to have finally taken note.

Here's a vendor I bought from in case anyone's interested to go the Tripper way on their 650s: https://www.instagram.com/p/CjkCU4CN5rW/?hl=en

PS: Zero connection with the vendor except as a paying customer.

Cheers,

Jay

Hi Jay can you kindly disclose the wallet damage and how it was mounted and connected. This set up would at the least be a good addition to display time.
thank you.

Nice catch amvj. Also interesting to note that GT doesn't seem to have this update as per the same video.

Could this also mean that OEM alloys will have to wait longer since only spoke variants are on display Or does RE have a trick up their sleeve for the Indian customers come 2023 ?

I paid 6899 for the tripper plus mounting kit. It's an easy DIY job. Anyone with basic mechanical skills and tools can do it.

Here's a video that shows how it's done:

I just followed the video.

If it is a clock that you need, a cheaper option would be this.

This was actually on display at the recently concluded Ridermania, when I asked they said it can fit to both Int and GT and will be available from Jan'23 onwards.
