Motorcyclenews.com has reported the below pics of supposedly the next gen RC390.

The Seating position seems to be a little more upright, then the current model.

The biggest change externally is the all-new bodywork with a huge one-piece clear screen, something that is becoming a KTM hallmark. Behind that hides a new LED headlight plus a full-colour TFT dash: as seen already on the 390 Duke.

The screen looks to be much larger than on previous models, which should mean improved wind protection. There also appear to be larger fairings and a slightly bigger tank. All of those changes should make the whole machine a bit roomier for taller riders who have found the current RC390 cramped.

The subframe trellis appears to have been altered too but as this is such an early prototype, that may not be what we see on the final production model.

MCN also expects the RC to receive the updated WP suspension for an improved ride, new brakes and a more powerful motor.

Even the footpegs look slightly more forward set, and even the windscreen looks more touring oriented.

Gen2 might be the end of the hardcore track machine RC as we know it - adopting a more all-rounded approach as the Ninja 400 - which is its biggest competition in international market these days.

It sucks to see the RC390 become tame like this. I don't know why KTM is doing this. Wonder if KTM would oblige us with an RC790 now

New pic of the RC390 has surfaced online and reveals a lot of interesting details.

New design.
Single centre mounted projector headlamps.
Looks like new trellis frame. The rear section especially looks very different and slim.
Much more relaxed riding stance?

Only KTM knows, my best guess is they trying to bring the RC390 as some retro-class-track-machine or something with a name none from the East can actually pronounce!

That front end looks like a cross between the Adventure 390 and the Duke 390. The sharp, angular design doesn't quite work on an RC. But, the rear looks decent, and it looks a little wider - hopefully more comfortable.

Hope the ergonomics are better and it gets a better display. The RC desperately needs an update.

Looking at the pics expect some changes in the braking department too? Current RC has a lot improved setup over 1st gen, further improvement is always welcome.

Look at the size of that disc!!!

Next-gen KTM RC 390 listed in brand's future product range

Pierer Mobility - KTM's parent company, released its half yearly report earlier this month. The report reveals some of the upcoming KTM products and the list also includes the next generation RC 390.

The new RC 390 will get a redesigned fairing and headlamp cluster. The frame of the bike is painted in orange, while the bodywork is finished in a dual-tone shade of orange and blue.

Spy images have revealed that the new RC 390 will get upside down fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The bike rides on 5-spoke alloy wheels and it has a single side-mounted exhaust.

At present, the RC 390 is powered by a 373.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 43 BHP and 35 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission via a slipper clutch.

The upcoming KTM RC390 has been spotted again and more clearly. It should get:

- Redesigned headlight
- Wider front fairing
- The much-awaited TFT screen
- Revised ergos
- New rear sub-frame
- Larger front disc and fuel tank

While it will get the same 373cc, 44PS, 37Nm motor, we can expect a tweaked throttle and fuelling system, quickshifter and traction control.
