Looking at this RE is way better. As everyone is aware of the infamous coil failure in the BS3 variant of the Himalayan. RE used to replace the Alternator (during warranty period), no questions asked.

One can buy 2 or 3 RE with the money spend on a BMW. Will have a back up ride even if one fails and get stuck at the service centre.

Too many issues with the dealership / service
- Lead time required for getting appointment
- Lead time for diagnosis
- Warranty denial on lame excuses
- Exorbitant spare and service costs

Guys, any 310GS ownership reviews or forums? Please guide me to them. I also wanted to check if anyone has installed some accessories like guards and pannier box for 310GS from aftermarket. I am also looking for a smartphone cradle. Many thanks in advance.

One of the fellow owners of a G310 was informed by the service adviser all G310s would be recalled and fitted with new alternator and battery which is suitable for the redesigned alternator. They would be doing this VIN Number wise as per the service adviser and the exercise would be finished towards the mid of this year.

There is no official communication yet. Fingers crossed.

Any new update and is the latest 2022-23 year models will be on alternator changes?

I am looking for auxillary lamps for 310 GS, hence any suggestions are welcome. Thanks
