This is a big loss for Royal Enfield. He was one of the key members who worked on bringing out the Himalayan and the Twins. Did he get a offer to Join Jawa?

Word on the street from an ex-employee was he was asked to get out - too much of internal politicking. He's an old guard...I have a feeling new changes might be coming.

Jawa (Classic Legends) already has a CEO in Ashish Joshi (who is another Ex-Royal Enfield employee), don't think there would be a change in Jawa so soon.

That was a surprise news for the outsiders. I always wondered why 'Rudy' never had a relaxed, happy face at all the unveils.
Probably this was the reason, whatever it was.

I guess as the company grows, the internal politics grows as well.

From a fellow biker who owns Himalyan, Continental GT and 350 Classic currently - "Was due for a long time. He is not as great as he's made out to be, and is the primary reason for the Pegasus flop show..."

I've always heard extreme views on Rudy and the way things turned after Siddharth moved to UK. Let's hope this is a new beginning, what with the fabulous Twins that Rudy has left for his successor to build on.

All Speculation:
Lots of negative PR in the last year due to Pegasus?
Too slow moving?
Did not meet the annual numbers for sure.
Maybe there was a difference of opinion with Sid.
Twins may not have been his babies.
May be facing the heat from Java as seen in Nov, Dec Sales
May have an offer from Java.

We would never know. Above all are speculations. But really speaking, RE has not got the numbers and growth in 2018 as far as I see it. Yes Twins are here, but that is not enough.

He tweeted to OD stating that he is continuing till May 2019 till the handover is completed.

Hes family to the Lal's, so Jawa may not be the route- unless Jawa want to invite what could be a Trojan Horse into their house.
The two month loss of production could be a reason why the numbers are less? Just wondering aloud.
Rudy is an old hand at the retail market, so maybe Patanjali wants to release mass consumer bikes?
Lets see what May brings.
