Yes that's the disk plate and the hub from a Fiero F2(little rare), its a bolt-on mod, it can take the Apache RTR rotor, speedo worm and spacer.

The forks from the apache can be connected directly to the shogun triple T.

Are you using the Fiero F2 calliper as well? I've been having a hard time trying to find one myself.

Nope, I will be using the apache caliper and master cylinder.

In other news, I was getting some questions by folks on how to identify a shogun from a samurai or a max 100. There are a lot of cosmetic shoguns and people get easily fooled

Today was an eventful day, We got a set of spares. All rubber parts are procured. A new packing kit, all carb jets X 2 and clutch plates X 2 re bought.

All cables minus speedo and brake cables are procured, wiring kit procured.

Everything is available at a price, There are stockists who stock these and are unloading it through various seller on facebook asking for an arm and a leg.

Yesterday I say a Bajaj Speedo and Tacho placed inside a shogun cover, asking price 3k

Most of the body parts and cables are available. Bangalore is the best place to go for shogun spares shopping.

Some online sellers are are reasonable in their dealings, they charge shipping, however if you look at the convenience of these items getting delivered to your door, you really cant complain.

Most of the items I need are bought and i will be getting some more items (hopefully) this coming weekend. Once all the items are bought I will start the rebuild.

So people ask me, why I chose to buy a second hand Caliper and master cylinder. Answer is simple, anyone can install a brand new caliper and a master cylinder and bleed it to near perfection.

So I decide to challenge myself and get the most knackered set, The shop guy was like i will give you a better one, I was like; I need the worst possible set

Nice! In 2003 I sold my Shogun fearing the spare issues, I know it was bit of a over-reaction. however, Its good to see you and others who still own one and are putting lots of efforts and money to get this machine to a prime state which once ruled Indian roads.

The world is full of such idiots, why in the world would he do something so stupid? A new petcock costs under 30 INR till 2-3 years ago.

I can understand that the fuel leaking out of the threads of the two bolts used to secure the petcock. But a bit of Loctite with the correct size bolt should have done the trick.

But no, he wanted to build his own Eiffel tower

Had a good laugh yesterday, Now i can confidently say that i have seen everything.

The tank and panels are in paint, I will remove the engine covers, head and cylinder for painting, along with the swing arm and L brackets. I am hoping to start the assembly by next week(hopefully).

Yesterday was crazy.

I thought I will take a few things and give them for powder coating and ended up taking the whole bike apart.

After spending nearly 2 hours, the results were rather disappointing.

The chassis had some parts missing due to rust, both the stands were goners, I knew the wiring was a mess but the CDI also had its wire spliced , I will now look for connectors to bring it back to original shape.

After soldiering on for 2 Hours everything was bagged and tagged. Here is a how the bike looked like.

Update on the shogun

The chassis is gone for welding and soon it will go into paint. Rest of the items will go into paint by today evening.

I have an RX135 tiger(my first restoration) engine rebuild, hoping to complete it by end of this week then we will start the shogun assembly. In the mean time the wheels needs to be given for truing, we have some busy days ahead of us.
