2019 Hero Pleasure spotted during Ad shoot

The first undisguised image of the 2019 Hero Pleasure has surfaced online. With actor Alia Bhatt astride, the scooter was spotted during an advertisement shoot.

The 2019 Pleasure is likely to receive a major cosmetic update. It has a redesigned front apron that features a silver insert with turn signals on either side. The hexagonal headlamp has a silver surround, while the side panel has a silver strip. The spy image suggests that the new Pleasure is likely to miss out on telescopic front suspension. It has drum brakes equipped with an Integrated Braking System (IBS).

The new Pleasure could use the same 102cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as the current model. It produces 6.9 BHP @ 7,000 rpm and 8.1 Nm of torque @ 5,000 rpm and is mated to a continuously variable transmission.

Re: 2019 Hero Pleasure spotted during Ad shoot

Interesting update! Looks like Pleasure has gone from being a mix-match of stickers to a clean traditional design. Of course, Hero surely will be bringing the stickers back at a later stage.

May still keep the 'Why should boys have all the fun?' tagline - as they have retained Alia Bhatt as the brand ambassador.

Pretty sure that they will. And I think the tagline has been there since Priyanka Chopra was the ambassador before Alia.

I like this new design actually. Hopefully it'll be less stickers this time. I wonder if the pricing will remain same over the previous model.

Rumor: Hero Pleasure to be discontinued; taken off from company's website

2019 Hero Pleasure spotted during Ad shoot-20200317010748_oldheropleasure.jpg

The brand’s first scooter – introduced in 2006 – could be discontinued after nearly 14 years.

Quote:
The first-generation Hero Pleasure – which made its debut as the Hero Honda Pleasure back in 2006 – has been taken off the company’s website. It appears as if the scooter has been discontinued after being in production for nearly 14 years. Hero, however, has already filled that space with an all-new model called the Pleasure Plus, which was launched last year.

The older Pleasure was one of the highest capacity scooters in its segment when it made its debut. In the mid-2000s, it took on other lightweight scooters like the TVS Scooty Pep, Kinetic Zing and Bajaj Spirit, all of which sat somewhere near the 80cc mark, while the Pleasure had a 102cc unit. But a lot has changed since then, and 100cc just doesn’t cut it anymore. That’s why the Pleasure Plus gets the 110.9cc engine found in the Duet and standard Maestro Edge, making 8.1hp and 8.7Nm of torque. The dated 102cc powerplant of the first-gen model is not expected to become BS6 compliant.

When the Hero Pleasure was launched, the scooter was marketed as one that catered to women. This new iteration of the scooter continues to follow a similar approach, with its curvy retro styling and low seat height. What gives us more reason to believe that the older Pleasure has been discontinued is how similarly the new Plus is priced. In BS4-spec, the Pleasure Plus only costs Rs 2,000 more than the older Pleasure.
