The battery pack is 19kilos. A residential cooking LPG gas cylinder is usually almost 15kilos for reference. I don't know how many would prefer lifting that up from the bike's fuel tank position and carry it home and charge it everyday.

Yes, this will be the first e-motorbike in India. Yesterday Evolet launched another fully faired motorbike priced very close to Revolt RV400. Looks like
its raining e-vehicles in India.

Just for clarity, that's the weight of an empty cylinder - which is significantly lighter.

Weight of an LPG cylinder when full is a lot higher, at around ~30 kgs.

When I read the weight of the battery pack, I correlated it to a 20 liter water bottle (20kgs):

re: The Revolt RV400 electric motorcycle

OK so I visited the Dwarka showroom to check out the hype. The bike is good in terms of build quality etc. I did not take test drive because showroom wanted Driving License hard copy and I was not in mood to cross the road and get it from the car.

MRP is basically a personal loan covered in a cloak. Once you book your bike online, you have 5 days to visit the showroom and fill the form with the NBFC that is financing the bike. Take ID and income proofs and 2 passport size photos. Submit all this and wait for delivery. Upon delivery you have to pay for Regn and Road Tax cost as well.

Still need replies from showroom on
(1) When does monthly payment start?
(2) What if NBFC rejects loan application?
(3) Exact amount of Regn and Road Tax etc?

re: The Revolt RV400 electric motorcycle

Thought the registration and road tax are included in the MRP. Am I wrong?
If they are extra (even at the lowest slab), the bike will be a costly affair at close to 2 lakh :(

re: The Revolt RV400 electric motorcycle

I checked with Sales person at showroom and they specifically told its not covered. Now I am doubtful about insurance too...

I went on the Internet and look what I found!

Currently for ICE, two wheeler vehicles, charges are:
- Regn. in Delhi is 50 Rs, supposed to rise upto 2000 Rs
- Road Tax is 1220 Rs.

Assuming that same charges apply to Electric, lets take around 6500 for insurance and we are looking @ 10,000Rs at delivery.

Nope, even I am trying to cancel mine, but there is no response from any of the email IDs or the phone numbers. I expected better from the Micromax founder, but I guess this was also just another fly by night operation.

But then what is the next step?
I hope you are not ready to give up your booking amount.

I may wait for some time till October and will visit the dealer nearby to see the bike. I did not like their "MRP" plan and wanted to buy it upfront.

re: The Revolt RV400 electric motorcycle

Finally for those who are waiting for Revolt but hate MRP, here is the good news. Revolt has launched one time payment option at Rs 98,000.
Not sure how better it is compared to MRP as the one time option do not include registration charges, service charges and 4G sim charges.
