Gugu Energy reveals the Gugu R-SUV - its first fully electric motorcycle

One of the newest start-ups in electric vehicles space is Gugu Energy, a Coimbatore based company, founded by Guhan RP. The company revealed its first fully electric two-wheeler-the Gugu R-SUV. The Gugu R-SUV is a cross between a scooter and a motorcycle, and is capable of venturing in off-road terrain.

Except the top speed in metric system, other numbers are mentioned in imperial system. So which country do they intend to sell?

The looks also are quite oddball, a scoot with dirt bike tires Can't seem to understand the logic.

Anyways, slated launch is a good 7-8 months away. So production version maybe different.

Nothing more than a pipe dream today. Every other month, there is a new "startup" with a drawing of an electric 2-wheeler and a website. Main objective = raise funding. Some even develop a one-off prototype.

I'll believe it when I actually see a factory.

Something wrong. It cannot be 0-60 mph in 5.7 sec. The Duke 390 ers will get a complex. Seems like an iffy effort which may not see the light of the day

Re: Gugu Energy reveals the Gugu R-SUV - its first fully electric motorcycle

With a name like "Gugu", I hope they don't plan to sell it in Bombay.

Even otherwise, its got a very confusing look - scooter, motorbike or all terrain bicycle. Too many arrow pointing in different directions. And with so many crevices and edges it will be a nightmare to maintain. And what's with the SUV in the name?

It's probably like GTO says - a startup idea, launched to raise funds. Unless they have something new to offer, like super long battery range.

Looks like the idea was to create a fully electric version of Honda X-ADV. What's with the claim in their website on the 0 to 60 mph acceleration?

The quickest acceleration in a motorcycle - from zero to 60 mph under 6 seconds
