This is the same marketing strategy as partner BMW who has been 'selling' their 310s to stars - Yuvraj, Ganguly etc.

I have heard from someone in TVS who has worked personally with Dhoni in the filming of some ad campaigns that he is a true blue motorcycle enthusiast who is very passionate about bikes. Besides his big bikes, he does have an RD 350 as well IIRC.

The thought that it was a gift from the company did cross my mind but knowing he is a dyed in the wool enthusiast, Im 99.99% sure he bought it himself and TVS capitalized on the publicity.

Thank you. Now this makes sense. However, isn't the duty of TVS to communicate the same to dealerships and in turn they train their employees? Saying such statements is recipe for losing a potential customer. I may or may not be the only one who has gone through this and dropped it from their list

For all we know, TVS might actually be doing this. But which dealer is voluntarily going to tell a customer that TVS didn't select us to sell the bike because we aren't good enough?

I got a new pic of what looks like another update for the RR310. What I can spot is a new TFT instrument console with duke 390 like buttons on the left switch gear and a new paint job along with huge Apache decal on the fairing.
