Steelbird Tyres has introduced a puncture repair service called Puncture Doctor. It offers a 24x7, pan-India roadside service to fix flat tyres and is available through a toll-free helpline number.



Puncture Doctor was launched in Kerala and the North East on a pilot basis in December 2018. The flat tyre assistance service will now be available in tier 2 and tier 3 cities as well. The company claims that the service will benefit 2-wheeler riders, especially women.

Steelbird has partnered with various puncture repair shops in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. It is believed to generate more revenue for these local repair shops.

Hope they run it like Exide's jump-start service which 78% of BHPians have had a positive experience with - related poll (Free Jump starts & Battery help - Exide Batmobile, Mumbai (and other cities)).

This will be super useful to 2-wheeler owners who don't have a spare tyre like us car guys do.

Guess it's a way of promoting their brand which is unknown in this segment. Maybe they have concessional prices for their own tyres. Not aware if they are actually manufacturing these or branding/ importing but a differentiator
