The naked version of the recently launched
Gixxer SF 250 has leaked online. The new model is likely to be called Gixxer 250.
As per the leaked images, the Gixxer 250 is likely to get a V-shaped fairing on the sides with 'Gixxer 250' decals and a chin fairing. The bike is finished in a dual-tone colour scheme of silver and black.
The Gixxer 250 is expected to be powered by the same 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine that is available on the Gixxer SF 250. It produces 26 BHP @ 9,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm @ 7,500 rpm and comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The Gixxer 250 is expected to come with telescopic front suspension and a monoshock at the rear. It is likely to get disc brakes at both ends as well as ABS.

250cc with 26bhp should give Yamaha FZ25 tough competition if priced well. Matter of fact Bajaj too may face the heat if it’s priced close to NS200 region. But Suzuki will cause blunder if they think to price it at par with KTM Duke territory.
Gixxer 250 naked version launched at 1.59 lakhs ex showroom. Not happy with the pricing, fz25 abs retails at 1.33 lakhs. The only area where the fz25 would lag behind is the top end performance.
As I already wrote previously, this may be a really poor missed opportunity from Suzuki. They should have matched FZ25 price wise. Couple of thousand extra wouldn't have mattered but pricing it such high over FZ25 is definitely a poor decision, specially under this present automotive slowdown.
Looking at FZ25 figures & market response, Suzuki may have got some much needed volume if they matched FZ25 pricing.

Suzuki is offering this only in two colors, would be nice to have it in the signature Gixxer blue.
Also, a round headlamp - like on the SV650 - would be nice.
But I am nitpicking.
