How does one get insurance for this vehicle?

I was under the impression that without a registration, it would be like a cycle, which can't be insured.

I think this model is for around 27k, there are cheaper ones available from Yo bikes and I think they start from 17k. This however is the only one that looks a little decent. But the savings are HUGE, 700kms in the cost of 1 litre of petrol is what the company claims.

Bumping up old thread .
Petrol prices are going up and dont know where it will end up. For a small city run abouts an ebike seems to be ideal.
Anyone have a long term review on this ?

^^ Exactly my views!
What happened to those YO Bikes
There was a showroom near my place but it had closed down long time back.
This is the right time for e-bikes to enter the market i feel.
Petrol already Rs.73+ its just a matter of time when it touches a century.

It's been 8 years, petrol is Rs.79 today in Mumbai. Have you bought an e-bike yet?

I got one a few months back (Avan Xero+) and have covered 400km so far. It's far more usable than the Yo bike my cousin had bought a good 12 or 13 years back.
