Rumour: Honda to offer Forza 300 maxi-scooter in India

According to a media report, Honda is likely to launch the Forza 300 maxi-scooter in India. It could be imported as a completely built unit (CBU).

Re: Rumour: Honda to offer Forza 300 maxi-scooter in India

There is a Forza 300 on display at the Big Wing Honda dealership in Gurgaon.

I checked with their team about possibilities of a near future launch, which they denied saying that the particular Forza scooter was imported just to gauge market response and it is likely Honda may not consider launching it atleast till end-2020.

Re: Rumour: Honda to offer Forza 300 maxi-scooter in India

In UK, Forza 300 range starts from £ 5099 that translates into ₹ 4,37,000. Even if Honda plays it safe and launches it at the same price (the way Hyundai played with CKD Kona); it will be difficult to find takers.

The name "scooter" will keep the enthusiast away from showing interest even if what is offers might beat the competing motorcycles !

I am very keen to see if the two wheeler market is also maturing the way car market has !

Absolutely!

Only issue however, is that the '150' engine capacity might invoke comparisons with other scooters like the Aprillia SR150. I'm actually wondering why Honda went all the way down to 150cc with the smaller cousin, when the X-ADV is a 745cc machine. A 300 would have been sweet.

That said - as an overall product, ADV 150 looks more desirable than the Forza 300.

Made a quick search and found that this will cost almost 7 big ones if it comes to India via the CBU route. ADV150 is certainly more desirable and might be somewhat in an affordable range. But then seems like Honda is not interested in bringing that to India.

Motroids reports that Forza will be launched by the end of this year at approximately 2.75 lakhs Ex Showroom. If this price is true, I will be the first one queuing at Honda Showrom

Cannot believe any news on Honda launching a Maxi scooter until they really launch it. There have been news about maxi scooter launches for years with the PCX and nothing ever happened. If at all Honda manages to launch the Forza 300, it will be a good competition for the KYMCO X-Town 300i.

Just thought it might be timely to bump up this thread given recent news of this being potentially launched in late 2020.

If they can keep this under 2.8-3 lakh on road, I think it'll have it's fair share of takers.

A little birdie tells me that you can book your Forza 300 with your nearest Big Wing dealership. Deliveries should happen by around January or February 2021.

Is this real? I have been on the lookout for a maxi scooter since forever. Initially was hoping Benelli would launch its Zafferano 250 which was actually being road tested in India a couple of years ago. But i guess they didnt think India would be a good market at that time. Then there were rumors of Yamaha NMAX being launched. But again nothing happened. Aprilia was supposed to launched SXR 160 in aug-sep but due to covid that got delayed. There was an update on the aprilia website a few weeks ago but i guess they all forgot that the hype train has to be constantly fueled and there has been no latest news on its release date. Possibly in last week of November or early December i guess.
But if honda is really bringing the forza to India then i would rather wait.
