Re: 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS

Hello MadRasTan4986

Yes Sir, you are right about the 2 bikes mentioned. This segment is such that there are pros and cons to both these products and when you are about to go for one, you see its cons and back-off. It's just a matter of time now and I will decide after listening some more reviews from people like you.

Speaking of the FZ-25, well I thought of that but it's a tad to expensive for the kind of equipment and power it has to offer. SO, I had to back off from that proposition and zeroed in on the Mojo and the Dominar.

That's a good point RD150 but those additions doesn't compensate for the fact that I can't still attach my bag into the tank of the Dominar nor can I go 400+ km without refuelling. Those additions are good and yes Bajaj has done excellent on this front. But I wonder, how is Bajaj managing to offer all this at such a low price?
Dominar has a range of 350 kms which is not bad at all. The new dominar has hooking straps at the bottom of pillion. The low price can be a result of KTM partnership. Mahindra guys developed the engine for mojo from scratch. Bajaj had the engine already and it's a good thing they passed the benefits to the customer by offering the dominar with such VFM tag.

Re: 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS

Dominar Vs Mojo! is that even a debate? In Aug 2019? It is a no brainer, after the poor performance of the Mojo and Mahindra 2 wheelers. (Not the Jawa).
Even if some one feels that in terms of the ride and experience, Mojo is better than the Dominar, why would you plonk your 2 lacks on a failed product with practically non existent service network and no certainty on spare parts availability. Also the fact that after 5-6 years of ownership you are looking at a motorcycle which will be extremely difficult to resell. Just the depreciation is enough to go for the Dominar which will still fetch a good amount.

If the Dominar still dosen't meet your expectation, my suggestion would be to look at Fz 250, Duke 250 etc. or increase your budget or wait for something else, rather than spending money on a already dead product.

Re: 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS

Nicely Said @RD150

@Ishaan, yeah you are right in terms of the sales part and I can't agree more with you on this. However, if you just look the 2 products just for the sake of touring purposes and maneuverability around the city, I think the Mojo has improved over its last-gen and so has the Dominar on the whole. The Mojo has lost its USD's and has a revised steering angle to aid to its city movement while the Dominar gets the Double Clamp USD's as well that aids in ride quality. So, yes, on the whole, they both are good products but yes, service is a concern and I expected better from Mahindra on this front.

Re: 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS

Looks of a cruiser with sporty performance, the new mojo has best of both the segments if one intends to have one bike that has it all. Losing the usd and an extra exhaust is good riddance. Wish mahindra had done something about the heavy square box like headlight assembly that weighs 5 kgs.

Re: 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS

The headlight is a characteristic feature of the mojo and I don't think M&M would have thought of changing the same. although, I would have loved an LED Headlight setup atleast

Re: 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS

Nothing wrong with the design or shape of the twinpod headlights which is indeed the character of mojo, but why the headlight assembly is so heavy at 5 kgs. Wonder how much the headlight assembly of other bikes in comparison weigh.

Re: 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS

I guess they wanted to maintain the front heavy nature of a tourer for added stability at high speeds while on the highways.

Re: 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS

Anyone here having any ideas as to when M2W will launch the Mojo 300 ABS in the Northern Part of the Country? Have been following the launch closely thus far and it seems that M2W is keen on selling the Mojo in just the Southern and the Western Part of the Country.

Re: 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS

Update: Mahindra has updated the Mojo website and now, sales and service outlets can be seen on the website mahindramojo.com. Dealers in NCR have started stocking the Mojo 300 ABS and can be booked as well.

Re: 2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS

Sales don't reflect the quality of the bike, sir. And, I am in close contact to a lot of dealers across the country and the numbers shown in the post is way more misleading than it could be imagined.

Maxabout got this news from auto-punditz.com, which has made a ruckus of a lot of sales figures of a lot of brands.

Here is link to show the prowess of the Mojo.

All good what you say. But the bike is flawed on multiple levels not least the way it looks. Guess we all have our opinions. That is certainly mine.

But forget me. I know nothing.

That YouTuber link you shared is also just an opinion. And its definitely not even an informed one. Anyone who has a GoPro or some such seems to be a reviewer these days, and we have to eat what they serve. How does this chap form a public opinion about the top ten bikes based on 10 km test rides on a test ride bike?

Have you ridden the bike? How long? How far? Which seasons? Which parts of India? Do you have an ownership tale of your own experience? Friends and family don't count.

Time to bury this thing and move on.
