Yes. I do. And if Yamaha really does come up with something like Fazer 250, you can expect one more addition. I am so glad that they don't make bicycles (Planning to buy one soon).

(I thought he was joking, because of the air scoop under the engine) and its going to be against pulsar 150 but the report says it as 165cc.

Do guys remember there was another bike with 165cc, the kinetic GF175 and laser models. I think it flunked because of the lack of brand image and there was no 165cc segment.

The yamaha has a better image but I am not sure about the 165cc category, but 16.5ps engine!!, it could be a potential compititor to pulsar 180cc. Again the pricing is going to decide. If it is priced below pulsar 180. That will dent the pulsar 180 sales figure. It may even enter the CBZ market.

Also there was another bike picture but a smaller one and he said that is yamaha's 250cc, and that will also be launched may in the year, but its launch depends on the success of the 150/165, because they should have enough support for the after sales service.
Yes its 165cc, cos they dont want it to be placed in a crowded 150cc segment...

Oh yeah. Saw the 250 cc one at the last yr auto expo. And forgot all about it till today Is Yamaha seriously thinking about Indian market??
Yamahas are supposed to make "BIKES" and not 125cc "MOTORCYCLES". IMO this is why they are loosing out here.

A 250cc jap for 90K & a 400cc jap for 1.25 lakh is all I am asking for, is that too much to ask for!

Stuff they show at the expo should be quicky followed by product launches. Its been months and years since they showed the Fazer 250. Where is it?

About Gladiator 165 ...... Stuff they show at the Auto expo is always impressive. Although having such a light coloured seat may not be practical. Imagine a light colored seat after a ride on the local highway. A coat of diesel tar would make it very ugly. I hope they have nicer color combinations.

I second that. I had this doubt, when the yamaha dealer mentioned about the launch date as feb/march.

X 2, it looks lot better than the compitition.

If priced rightly, it would kill few of the copetition brands sales, for the initial months and if they dont upgrade, sorry for them is my answer.

Fuel Efficiency was never really Yamaha's fort. Let it be reside happily with Hamara Bajaj and (Hero) Honda. Yamaha makes fantastic bikes, which are fun to ride. For me, that counts far more than petty extra 5-10 kmpl.

And no, I do not include Crux-X/Y/Z and likewise in the list of "Yamaha" bikes. They are nothing but lame excuses from Yamaha for efficient 2-wheeler transport.

But Bajaj has proved that it is not necessary to sacrifice those extra 10kmpl to have some riding fun. Its mass market riding fun, but its still fun.
