Re: KTM 250 Adventure, launched at Rs. 2.48 lakhs

Looks like this one is getting some of the poorest initial reviews amongst recent motorcycles.

Tough competition from the Himalayalan at the value end and the 310GS at the premium end leaves this one in no-man's land. Happened with the Duke 250 as well.

The toughest competition is from the 200 and the 390 from its own stable.

The 250 Duke already made no sense.

Add the premium demanded for the Adventure avatar, and it sinks deeper.

The reviewers seem to be having difficulty in highlighting any of the parameters.

Now the Himalayan looks good. Or even the BMW 310GS.

Or wait for the next iteration of the Adventure series.

True that, infact I feel a lighter 200 adventure at 2L would have been a better option. 1L price difference to 390adv and the engine is peppy enough for most upgrading from a 150/160cc & would have been a proper differentiator. But then that would need some alterations to 390adv chassis and eventually some investment. That’s why don’t think ktm will be getting that

Re: KTM 250 Adventure, launched at Rs. 2.48 lakhs

Hey everyone! After a lot of deliberation, I purchased a KTM 250 Adventure. Took the delivery yesterday. I still am learning to ride, so I got a friend to get it home.

Other models I was considering were the Meteor, Honda Hness, and 310 GS.

I hope to put in a few hundred km before putting in an ownership review.

Congrats on your purchase. Happy mile munching. Do let us know how you enjoy the learning process on the bike and after the learning phase.

Many congratulations It's been exactly one month since your brought home the KTM 250 Adventure. How has been your experience with the bike for the last one month? Did the bike live upto your expectations? Also would like to know why did you consider buying this over the Meteor, Honda Hness, and 310 GS?

This should bring the 250 adv around 2.8L OTR bangalore. Now around 1L difference in OTR costs. Not bad

Wish there was a price cut on the 390 as well, its quite expensive for what it is, infact its more expensive the 650 twins, though a great bike, I don't think that's justifiable.
