I've seen a black with flourescent green instead of the red and black but to date, I've seen only one on the road. Definitely not a mod job.

Should be a modified one as 3 TVS dealers have confirmed to me that there are no other colours in Race edition manufactured by TVS till date.

Hi Raahil,

Thank you for the pics, what was the total cost of getting the LED headlight fitted to the standard one and what about warranty?

Hey Vijay.
The total cost came to around ₹8-9K and since the job was done at the service centre itself, there should be no warranty void.

The following image received from a friend indicates that TVS is launching (ready with) a new colour scheme Yellow + Black on the NTorq Race Edition.

Got myself Ntorq race edition. Which full face Helmets fits in the underseat storage of Ntorq. I have a SOL but that does't fit.

Yellow could be a mistake as that shade and green had the least amount of takers, the first time around. They could have gone 'carbon fiber' and black/gray. Regarding the full helmets, Studds Medium Size do fit. But I've moved to premium half-helmets like Nolan and SMK. (Also gives me space to keep the clean cloth etc) Alternating between these two (given the incredible pick-up and speed of the NTORQ I thought it was best to use a strong one)

Hello BHPians.

Got my NTorq RE delivered yesterday. This is an upgrade from my 2015 Jupiter which I used for 5 years 3 months and ~ 50K kms. My usage is 20 Kms daily in peak Mumbai traffic. The only options I had considered were SR160 & NT 125 RE. The deal breaker for the SR were the price & limited features in comparison. Plus having used and abused the TVS over 5 years boosed my confidence into an upgrade within the same brand.

My first ride of the NT ever was after buying mine (similar to Jupiter, RC390, RETB350. I dont TD) Innitial observations are.

1. Good sales experience. Although the dealer tried to push accessories whhich I never needed, by saying this is the only place where we have margin :uncontrol They were deleted when I mentioned that I belong to the same industry and dont need such unnecessary accessories & handling charges. Everything else was good.
2. NT felt a lot more stable than the Jupiter on straights and corners, but definately not as cushy. Not complaining though.
3. Digital cluster needs time to get used to. Need to search for required information. But does display a lot of vital features.
4. Underseat charging + bluetooth interface + DND autoreply SMS means no unnecessary disturbance while riding.
5. Underseat storage does not accomodate my full face LS2, Jupiter did. The illumination is welcome though.
6. Current ODO reading is 12 Kms. The enigine felt noisy. Maybe this should settle after few hundred KMs.
7. A lady colleague of 5 ft height found the NT to be a lot lighter and nimbler than the Jupiter (and her Scooty as well)
8. Quality of plastic & switches felt vastly improved.
9. Only two color options in the Race Edition. The sales rep told me all that his outlet sold were in red. In fact all that I ever saw till date were in red. I enquired for some discount if I go for the yellow ;) but he refused.
10. No side stand warning of any sorts inspite of the loaded cluster.

Havent tested the phone interface, navigation display yet. Some pictures.

BR Sagar.

To all the NTorq owners who wanted to move to different brand of tyres in due course know what an impossible task it was earlier. Only TVS Tyres and Ralco were offering tyres in the 110-80/12(Rear) and 100-80/12(Front) spec for NTorq.

Well, now MRF has also started to offer tyres of the same size clap:

Too bad for TVS, their stock tyres on my NTorq Race Edition lasted only for 18k kms and I'm all set to get new MRF Zapper's fit tomorrow.

Hi, Are the stock TVS tyres on NT good or should they be changed to a better rubber right after taking delivery?
Also, are michellin tyres for 2 wheelers are good to have and should these be considered for NT ??
Thanks in advance..

Hi Piyush,

I felt the stock tyres are just about adequate for city commutes. But in wet conditions, gravels and sudden accelaration & braking they lacked grip, specially the rear one.
If I had an option when I picked my NTorq, I'd have the tyres changed to MRF's/Michelin's immediately.

If your daily running is high, frequently take it on highways and come across bad roads, I'd suggest you to upgrade to MRF's. (Michelin's don't offer for NTorq yet)

Cheers :thumbs up

Can you post a pic of the tread pattern please. Do they look as meaty as the TVS ones? MRF motorcycle tyres are just too good

Hi Sebring,

I totally agree!! After having completed 1400kms since the tyre change, I found them to be super grippy and comfortable across all conditions.

Pictures attached below.

Hi, I was searching for the Ntorq tyre sizes in MRF, but was unable to find it mentioned on the website. Only available choices on internet seem to be TVS and Ralco.
Are MRF Zappers available in these Sizes?
Cheers:thumbs up

That's right, on internet search only TVS and Ralco come up. Looks like the official website of MRF hasn't been updated yet.

MRF Zapper's are available in the exact specs (Rear 110/80-12 and Front 100/80-12) You can either call or visit an exclusive MRF outlet in your neighborhood, they for sure would have them in stock. :thumbs up

Just received delivery of our new Race Edn N Torq earlier today. Excited to own our first scooter. Mostly for moving around close to the residence for my wife but I will use it a fair bit as well when needed. I love how perfectly it matches our Tiger on the color scheme. The two bikes look like a couple side by side. :p
