Re: TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition launched at Rs. 62,995

Took delivery of my Ntorq Race XP.

Total onroad price : 1.175 lakhs (without add on accessories) - Hyderabad
Discounts : Nil
Freebies : Footboard Mat + Seat cover

Quick observations
  • Pickup is really good
  • Exhaust note remains unique plus point for Ntorq
  • I couldn't find much difference between Race mode vs Street mode
  • Scooter feels stable on all kinds of roads
  • Have not ridden above 45kmph till now, so high speed manners are yet to be tested
  • Suspension is on firmer side, ride is not cushy as Jupiter.

Long term TVS NTORQ BS6 Race Edition ownership review

Hello All,

I have owned TVS NTORQ BS6 Race Edition red color since July 2020 and have covered 37000 (High mileage).

First of all looks and sound wise it's absolutely killer. I have done a single run of 380km from Ludhiana to Delhi on the scooter and it was fun (don't recommend as scooter is not designed with such requirements in mind)

Aesthetic: Slight scratches over time (No metal grills installed around the body). Few stickers are started to loose. But I do maintain my vehicle properly with regular washing and cleaning and hence is very good condition.

Electrical: No issues till date. Never had any issues with all electrical fitting on vehicle. But have faced head lamp unit fitting and loosening issues for long time. It is held in place with 3 clips which do gets loose very easily due to jerks on bad road or even normal speed breakers.

Mechanical: Had once faced issues with a pin damaged in the piston but was replaced under warranty within 3 days of submitting vehicle to service center. Front suspension is hard and will cause fatigue if ridden for long distance but rear is good.

Mileage: Roughly getting 40 - 42kmpl even after running 37000 kms. I do ride on higher speeds on expressways and highways (60 - 75kmph).

Other Observations: NTORQ has really good power for 125cc scooter and can easily keep up with similar CC bikes. Vibrations do increase over time but on time and regular service helps reduce these significantly. Tyres have really good grip levels especially on turns (can keep 45-50kmph on circular bends)
TVS connect app is very inconsistent. Easily gets disconnected, turn-by-turn directions is slow (can easily miss turns).
Under seat storage is good but full size helmets do not fit.
Leg space is just ok. Keeping big bags not possible in front. Small bags can only fit.

Hope this review helps anyone interested in buying NTORQ.

Thank You,
Himanshu
