Refreshing to see that they have been priced below the equivalent duke. No dates though for the 401 unfortunately.
Last i heard or read, its 2021 for India. Makes perfect sense.

Husqvarna is a Swedish company. They read it as it is, pretty much, but with more stress on the second i and slightly sh instead of s.
Shvaartpeelen and vitpeelen I believe are fairly accurate.
Btw, svartpilen means 'the black arrow' and vitpilen means 'the white arrow'

Nice co-relation. Should work for me as well.

Thanks for giving this a Swedish touch. I now can at least brag in front of others

This is me. But I wonder how easy it would be to fit a top box on these bikes to carry a helmet. I see some posts on vitpilenforum.com mentioning the lack of options and difficulty in retrofitting one onto the bike.

A top box on this bike is criminally sacrilegious. Please let us drool on it as is when parked outside a cafe.

I guess I fall perfectly into that category. Honestly apart from knowing the brand, I had no idea about the models or plans for India. But these have got me very interested. Was looking to upgrade from my 2012 Pulsar 200NS and was unable to find something that meets my requirements in the 2L > 200cc range. ( Not a fan of the enfield range). Most options were too stylized and sporty for my liking and usage ( which is primarily commuter needs and occasional rides).

This looks like a perfect match for my requirements. Unless I am missing something.

Any thoughts from experts?

The Honda CB300 could be another worthy contender for your money. If you want a fill it, shut it, forget it bike that will keep you very happy for a long time, the Honda is probably a better bet.

The Huskies are stylish alternatives to the KTMs, all the goodness (and dare I say occasional headaches) of the same platforms but without the baggage of the brand association.

The only fly in the ointment is that the Honda CB300R isn't available right now. Apparently the BS6 date for this bike is Sept 2020! (link (Honda confirms CB300R for India; bookings open. Edit: Launched @ 2.41L))

There is one red CB300R left in the Cochin showroom, the dealer is willing to work a bit on the price as well.

Love the huskies and very tempting at that price point. Are they geared similar to the KTMs? Definitely worth considering if the gearing /tuning was revise for better low end if she rides plaint. Hows the Exhaust note?

Exhaust note feels muted. Whenever I have ridden next to test mules (just did today morning), I haven't noticed exhaust note much. However, I ride with earplugs most of the time, so take my observation with pinch of salt err plug.

I saw a video claiming Svartpilen has 13.5 ltr fuel tank and Vitpilen has 9.5 ltr. Can you please recheck? If it is true, Svartpilen should have an excellent tank range. Any thoughts on seat comfort?
