Re: September 2019: Two-Wheeler Sales Figures & Analysis

It's a revelation that the Activa records sales figures (248,939) of almost five times that of the Suzuki Access. The nearest competitor from the TVS range here is the Ntorq (27,814), that sells about half the numbers, the Access sells. The Hero Pleasure trails behind the Access. For Royal Enfield the reported figures for the Classic 350 (it's bread and butter) are quite encouraging, given it's niche, wherein the competition lags behind.

It's also a revelation that the TVS XL Super moped continues to lug on, saleswise and emerges as the bread and butter two wheeler for the company. Evolving from the TVS 50 and XT, after three and a half decades it is still a winner. The TVS Scooty Pep sales however appear to be dithering in the face of the stiff competition.

The real fight for supremacy for top places is evidently between Hero Motors Corp and it's erstwhile principal Honda, in their respective niches as is evident from their presence in sales charts.

(P.S. Sorry to miss out the TVS Jupiter sales figures @ 69,049, which sells much more than the Suzuki Access and is evidently now the top bread winner for TVS's two wheeler range)

You missed the Jupiter which did 20k more than the access, a consistent second among scooters since few years. That's been a consistent seller (bread & butter model) for TVS along with XL.

Pulsar brand name seems to be still doing great in the market. Even the 125cc did more than 20k.

NTORQ is growing as well (MOM), and that's significant since its a premium offering and margins are better. So TVS is on a winning spree
