Ather Energy is planning to expand its dealer network to Tier-1 cities like Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune.
The company has invited dealers to set up Ather Space experience centres across these cities. These retail spaces will be designed by Ather and will allow customers to test ride and get hand-on with the product. At present, there are two Ather Space outlets in India - one each in Bangalore and Chennai.
Ather Energy has also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of Tamil Nadu to set up an
electric vehicle manufacturing unit in the state. The new facility will help the company meet the growing demand for its electric scooter.

Barebone showroom, no signature design, lights hanging from black iron pipes and steel channels, bare cassette air conditioners and black Aluminium composite panels all look genuinely bad. Even 200 sq.ft stores at airport have better design language.
This is a good start for Ather Energy in 2021, but they need to expand in the market rapidly with Sales and Service showrooms. I'm keen on how Ather Grid will turn out in tier-1 and tier-2 cities since they are promising charging stations at every 4kms. This needs to be done quickly for increasing adoption as many players are entering this space. Ather might find it difficult to acquire new customers, once the giants like Bajaj Auto and Suzuki Motorcycle India are out nationwide.
Things are getting interesting in this space, Simple Energy is planning to launch ARAI tested 200+ km range electric scooter in May which will directly compete with Ather Energy 450x's 85km real-world range.

This is the IN look now a days.
I quite like this cafe style showroom. Makes it more friendly and approachable in my opinion. And is perfectly suited to their target audience. It is different from the usual showrooms by design; Ather likes doing things their way.

Yes, and if you compare it with any other scooter showroom in Mumbai this is in another league. Also, the moment I read Bandra linking road I was like that's a brilliant move as that place is buzzing with young shoppers and this place will start attracting a good crowd in no time and maybe the Indian herd mentality would prove beneficial in kick starting Ather's Mumbai innings :Cheering:
Designs speak a different language, but when it comes to finances...whoever can risk to invest are on their way to make the next wave in making in some serious money in future.
Even if some 4-5 IT professionals pool some of their savings will be glad of their decision in future.

Ather has set up 10 fast-charging points across key hotspots in Mumbai.
Ather Energy launches its first Ather Space showroom in Lajpat Nagar, Delhi. This the 10th such outlet the electric scooter manufacturer has across the country.
