That was the price at which the D400 was launched. Talk about inflation!

So they have kept everything from USD forks to the instrument panels exactly same as the Dominar 400. Only change being the single tone alloy and the D250 badge at the rear. I personally feel sad for the dilution of the Dominar 400. But it is expected from Bajaj. Hope the displacement doesn't goes down even further in future. At least some visual difference from the D400 could have helped to differentiate the two.

Well, Bajaj has a business to run and they have a good product in 400. Maybe they are not getting the desired numbers and so this 250.

re: The Dominar 250, now launched at Rs. 1.60 lakh

Came across this walk around video on YouTube.

27bhp, 23Nm, 155kgs dry weight (as claimed by the youtuber). Equipped with slipper clutch, dual channel abs etc. Expected pricing around 1.6L exshowroom.

Zigwheels also supports the price of 1.6L and says the dealers are accepting booking for as low as Rs 500. Bike will be with dealers within few days.

Love that weight, wish it comes true.

I dont suppose that figure is kerb weight, unless the 400's machined swingarm and tyres are made of lead.

Duke 250 Dry weight: 150 Kg ( https://www.ktm.com/in/naked/250-duke/ )
Duke 390 Dry weight: 149 Kg

Ready to ride dominar at 155 Kg is unbelievable.( goes against previous unquoted value of 600 Gms lighter, https://www.rushlane.com/bajaj-domin...-12348609.html which corroborates with the bs6 duke weights )

The 250 segment is getting super hot. Having around 2L budget for a bike would be a very troublesome affair. Huskies, Jawas, Enfields, Duke 200/250, Suzuki 250s , FZ25(S).

Dominar 250 would have a decent USP of highway stability and good headlights and a wide base of readily available accessories.

No Gear Indicator. The secondary display on the fuel tank is from the 1st gen Dominar. Still the Dominar 250 is the only bike to have USD forks and Liquid cooled Engine in the 250 cc segment barring KTM 250. Kudos to Bajaj for making Dominar now affordable. Hope they keep only Dominar 250 and Dominar 400 and not introduce Dominar 125, 150, 160, 180, 200, 220.

Suzuki Gx 250 looks overpriced now.

From 184 Kgs Kerb Weight (D400) to 155 Kgs Kerb Weight??

A 29 Kgs Reduction?? I find it hard to believe

Relax guys. It's a typo. Should be dry weight as claimed by the youtuber, but agreed it's doubtful. Anyways we can wait for Bajaj to come up with official numbers.

Good move by Bajaj. Don't know why people are complaining about diluting the Dominar brand as we get Dukes from 125cc till 790cc in India. I wager we will get more Dominars in different engine configurations in future

From the videos I have seen the D250 will not come with the machined swing arm but the regular box section swing arm. Rest are mostly similar with the D400.

I honestly hope they make it easier to ride in the City as well as Highway (Dual purpose)

I think existing owners are unhappy that the bike looks visually similar to the Dominar 400. Diluting the brand name argument might not hold true but I can understand their frustration (Apache rtr200 owner here).

I think the console is the old Dominar one, forks are 37mm and brakes should be different too I guess.
