Looks more like a Chinese import with wrapping then a in house production. It has a larger hub motor, typical of chinese 2 wheelers.

Re: Hero Electric's first-ever motorcycle spied

The design is cool. But only because Hero have ripped off the gorgeous Honda CB300R!

The most blatant ripoff is the instrument cluster, followed by the rear fender, front fender, front indicators, headlight. They have even copied the heel plates from Honda! I wouldn't be surprised if the visor on the headlight would be a direct fit on the CB300R.

I do not want to belittle Hero's first attempt at an electric bike, but I would have been happier had they not ripped off the design of their erstwhile partners!

Hero Electric is a different company from Hero motors, so I dont think Honda was ever their partner. I doubt Hero electric built this bike anyway. It is probably imported from some Chinese manufacturer and then rebranded as a Hero electric bike.

QS motor is dead give away that its chinese. Mostly came straight off the container from china, which had the wrapping. Hero electric should just shut shop, there is no way they can compete with other indian makers with just chinese imports.

When i read the spec and the range, i thought exactly the same, What ?
The range of 160km means that motor capacity of 4KW is peak and not continuous. Which also means, for a 160 km range, the motors might be tuned for an economy mode for a max 2kw power. The peak could be just for few seconds.
