I have seen Honda CBs being a very popular choice for custom cafe racer projects. If they bring some affordable CB models to India it would make for an interesting donor bike for such a project. Most such projects are heavily centered over the REs / RE Interceptors for now, given their attractive VFM acquisition cost.

One look on Insta / FB at some cafe racer pages and its evident just how popular the CB range is for such cafe conversions.

For the last few days I have been seeing the add all-around which says "Your highness is arriving on Sep 30". Nice campaign considering that right now they are yet to have BS6 CB300R, CBR650R etc...

Its the Rebel 300 and not the 500 trio as far as I can tell.
Might be priced on par with the CB300R

Where are the 500 series bikes Honda?? Atleast give us some hint if its coming anytime soon.
RE is mostly going to launch the 650 Twins with the much desired upgrade (read as alloys) by Feb 2021. And if I do not hear any updates regarding the 500 series bikes before that launch then Honda you are going to lose a customer to RE. And I am sure there are many such fence sitters who are waiting for the same and they might just jump towards RE if you keep neglecting the Indian market. It's high time, give us a damn timeline HONDA

I am in the market for twin cylinder Adv bike with price between 5-6L. Currently we do not have any other options in the market and desperately waiting for CB500X from the day I started hearing rumours about this bike. 2020 is almost over and no news from Honda yet. Not sure by when they launch this beauty.
Is there any other option within 7L Adv twin cylinder apart from Versys.

Ask me about it. I was desperately waiting to lay my hands on 500R and ended up getting home a pre owned 2018 650F

Better not to plan your purchases around any rumored launches in the post-Covid world.

Too many changes will mean companies will play safe and delay the launches.

And the 500 cc engine bikes will cost upwards of 4.9L ex-showroom in India, I am sure.

Same story for me. Sold my 390 Adv because I was looking to upgrade to a twin parallel, but arent any good options apart from the REs, which, despite having great engines I still find immature as an overall package. Outdated suspension, spokes, no features on the Odo, weird ergonomics, especially the horrendous footpeg position.

So I've booked a CB350 as my daily driver but need a twin parallel for excitement and touring. Hope Honda launches soon, else its RE for me. Kawasaki's high maintenance and recent quality issues have made me drop it as an option.

I too was very interested in Honda big bikes. I was even ok with CBR500R (forget about CBR650R). All they launched was a CB350. I then thought of choosing from what is available and ended with Triumph. I am very happy with my decision is an understatement.

Triumph Bonnie. All your words point to it. You can contemplate buying used route maybe? It’ll be a bit too similar to your CB350, only twin cylinder.

True upgrade will be Tiger/BMW F900XR

The Rushlane article says it will be a 6 speed automatic which may not find many takers. Hope they launch it with a conventional 6 speed manual as well.
