Benelli Imperiale 530 patent image leaked

A design patent image of the new Benelli Imperiale 530 has surfaced online.

The Imperiale 530 looks similar to the Imperiale 400 that is currently on sale in India. The retro-styled bike features a round headlamp and turn indicators. The split seat appears to have been replaced with single-piece seat. It also has a chrome exhaust, unlike the Imperiale 400 which gets a black exhaust with chrome heat shields.

The Benelli Imperiale 400 is powered by a 374cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 21 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 29 Nm @ 4,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Imperiale 530 is expected to get a larger capacity engine.

This will be an interesting launch!

With the Bullet 500 out of the market, those who like the appeal of a big thumper may turn to Benelli instead!

The 400 came with some nice reviews with some even positioning this as an alternative to the INT650. But what happened on the sales front ? I haven't seen any on road neither do I think they are doing any numbers close to even 30% of the 350 REs. Quite disappointing
