The updated BMW 310 twins have been clicked by Rideapart sources while out on tests. The updated model will most likely be introduced in India later along with the BS6 engine update.

The two smallest BMWs currently offered in the lineup have recently been spotted out on the road, sporting a few minor aesthetic updates. Both receive a slightly modified headlight design, with what looks like sharper angles and an LED cluster.

On the new GS, the beak is now slightly narrower and the side panels’ design is sharper and more aggressive-looking. On the R, the shape of the headlight casing has been modified as well, now pointing forward and the side panels are now broken down into three distinct sections.

Also, as per Bikedekho sources, the updated motorcycles will be launched by September 2020 and will get a massive price reduction -

According to sources, both upcoming BS6-compliant motorcycles will cost Rs 75,000 to Rs 85,000 less than their BS4 predecessors.

Prototypes of 2021 BMW G310 R street fighter and G310 GS adventure tourer have recently been spotted on a public road.Both motorcycles feature noticeable styling changes updates but nothing too exhaustive.

The 2021 BMW G310 GS receives slightly revised headlamp with LED elements and a sleeker beak.

The side panels are also revised to render a sharper appeal to the front end. Changes to the new G310 R include a new LED headlamp and redesigned fuel tank extensions.

The single-cylinder 313 cc liquid-cool engine and its exhaust system are set to undergo some improvements.

In its current state of tune, the fuel-injected motor develops 33.6 hp and 28 Nm of torque. A 6-speed gearbox takes care of transmission duties.

BMW G 310 R has new LED headlamp, side panels and a sharper fuel tank. The G 310 GS has a narrow beak and high-set handlebars. Digital cluster could have changes and a quick shifter might be added.

This is an amazing price, taking the fight to KTM twins head on. At this price there'll be more takers for sure, especially those who look for BMW brand name beyond the VFM factor (offered by KTMs) or reliability of Honda

If only now BMW can bring their spares and service cost for the 310 twins slightly in par with the competition. Wishful thinking but can be done if volumes go up for these.

60K price correction on the GS should now make it a worthy contender for the ADV itch. If i am not wrong, this is under cutting even the KTM 390 ADV now by few thousands and if BMW convinces people on long term maintenance aspects, this should do well.
