re: Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball leaked, now launched at 1.75 lakhs

I found this of the Super Nova Blue. I loved the 350X and it's colours. I wish they brought them with this bike.

re: Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball leaked, now launched at 1.75 lakhs

Looks like the Meteor 350 has aced the CB350 in the looks department.

From the comparative videos of the exhaust, CB350 sounds better IMHO. The meteor seems to be more loaded of the two.

Can't wait for the comparative road tests!

I feel the pricing will be close. RE can launch the Meteor at a special price to bring the numbers initially.

Thank you for sharing the pictures. My first impressions are: these pics reminded me of a bike from Bajaj called Enticer. Have to see how this model create it's own impact in the market besides a serious competition from Honda.

Not Bajaj. It was Yamaha Enticer.

Thank you for the correction mod, looks like I messed up 2 models Bajaj Aveger and Yamaha Enticer altogether

Thanks for sharing. Did not find the exhaust note any special. Was I the only one who noticed the Speedo needle vibrating on revving? I sincerely hope the vibrations are controlled, but was a little taken aback seeing the ever so slight vibration of the needle.

The rear brake lever is precariously close to the exhaust pipe

I used a Thunderbird in Bhutan and quite enjoyed its laidback characteristic. This looks like it'll get that done with ease.
From the sound of it, vibrations might also be minimal. More power on the highway always helps of course and this may lack there as is the case with all RE's that aren't 650s. Looks good and seems like it will sell well.

Not a fan of the twin pod console. Feels like an afterthought to match up to competitors.

Well let the discussions begin as Royal Enfeild seems to have come up with another new Chassis design. The 'tubular' downtubes are not continuous, instead they break at the engine mounts!
Is this to break the vibrations?

More likely to help with removal of the engine to work on it.

Being an RE, uncomplicated "engine down" is part of the design brief to any chassis designer.

Cheers, Doc

The CB350 has mid foot controls.
This has forward foot controls, which are not angled upwards - ideally they should be angled so that the feet can control the brake and gear levers in a forward mounting scenario, right?

In any case, I think this is going to be a differentiator between the two (other aspects aside)

This is a good colour. Bike looks sharp. And the YouTuber claims Rs.1,68,500 as the price (Honda CB 350 starts from Rs.1,85,000 Ex Factory)

A comparison between CB350 and the Meteor.

the meteors alloys look dangerously skinny.

The start stop button, looks borrowed from a cheap toy.

Through the bike looks good, RE could have done a better job in concealing the wires. In the video that Sebring has shared, the right side cables are hanging way outside of the handle bar and is not at all pleasing to the eyes. Hope these are the media bikes and in the production versions RE does a better job in concealing the wires.

re: Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball leaked, now launched at 1.75 lakhs

After seeing the Meteor standing next to the CB350, I think that RE should have offered the bike as a better product. The rivals now do offer much better bikes.

Also, I came across this brief comparison of the two bikes so thought of sharing this with everyone:

Meteor Vs CB350
