Pure EV E-bikes : Epluto 7G, Etrance, Egnite and Etron

Couple days ago, a mini truck delivered an electric mobike at a neighbour's home and I saw couple of vehicles I'd never seen before - they had prominent "click retail" branding on them.

Looked very interesting, so today I googled this and found that click retail is a retail outlet in Bangalore that sells these vehicles.

I also saw the "PURE" branding on a picture of the click retail store and another internet search yielded PURE EV, a startup that makes these mobikes and ebikes.

I think what my neighbour got is the Pure ETrance model. Will try to get more first hand information from him soon
https://pureev.in/etrance/

*Edit: Etrance, Epluto etc are some of the electric mobikes this company makes. They also have E Bikes (bicycles) which is the topic of this thread.

MODS: please move or cross post to relevant thread if necessary.

Re: E-Bikes (electric bicycle) : A comprehensive guide

^^

I am in the market for a Escooter so this interested me.

At 80K their ePluto 7G model is reasonably priced. Although the specs are not compatible with Ather 450. From the website it looks like they are incubated start up by IIT Hyderabad which in my view is a positive as compared to the Chinese clones that Hero /Okinawa parades. The put off is the Hub wheel design. Why don't companies use a simple BLDC motor and a belt drive like Ather?. The problem with hub wheel motors is weight at the rear wheel. Especially on a ramp, the bke just can't pull. The ePluto 7G has a gradient of 12 Deg which when compared to Ather 450's 18 deg is a let down due to the rear hub wheel. Not to mention the whole headache of removing the bulky wheel in case of a puncture or DIY Service

Re: Pure EV E-bikes : Epluto 7G, Etrance, Egnite and Etron

I picked up the Pure Egnite in Dec 2020 and have clocked 750odd kms as of date.

I'm no cycling enthusiast and picked it up just to start a little bit of cycling

I'm super happy with the buy and the Egnite is well built and robust. Rode it on numerous terrains and roads and found it doing great.

The removable battery is its biggest USP. Haven't accurately measured the range, but with minimal usage of throttle and marginal pedal assit I get around 120kms. I believe full on battery only use might give around 50kms range.

A small fiat touch so that it can gel with the Italians in the garage

Wow that looks cool and a range of 100+ km with pedal assist is a boon for commutes given petrol and diesel costs. I'm also looking out for such an e-cycle. If possible can you share the on road price?

My requirements are:
- Weekly 3-4 times I can cycle to work.
- My office commute is 18 km one way and I can't pedal only to work as it will cause a lot of sweat and no shower rooms at office. So a pedal assist with maximum power mode should work good for 18 km.
- While return from work I can manage with manual pedal for last 5 km or so.
- Budget at around 30-35K INR.

Reading your 100+ range I'm mighty impressed with this cycle.

The 100kms range is only with level 1 assist. Max assist at level 5 should give around 50-60 and not to mention that using throttle consumes more than pedal assit. So quite a lot of permutations and combinations to calculate the range.

Also max speed of motor is limited at 25kmph.

The Egnite is no longer available. I picked up for about 43k. You can checkout etron+, it should be under 40k.
