hey im looking for a pocket bike is there any dealer in India who deals with poket bikes . Im 17 yrs old so does one need a license to ride a 49-59cc bike?? and what will be the custom duty if i plan to import one ???

i remember seeing these for sale on ebay.in a couple of years back.
i don't think they require a driving permit.
Have a look at toy shops, that all i can think of right now.

I've seen a few of these lying around in Johny's garage in Bombay. Will check with him over the weekend and if he does have any for sale, I'll get back to you. I don't think you need a license to ride them and in any case you wouldn't want to ride them on the streets. And if you do, I'm not sure whether every cop you meet on the street will know about the rule.

A few guys in bangalore make this..I think they use the Scooty engine to make it..and they cost around 12G upwards..
Also there is one person in Bangalore who has an Electric bike that runs for almost 100 Km on a ful charge.. The cost of the highend version was 17G i think.. Let me know if you are interested.. I will then PM you the contact number.

Mumbai, contact Dippy or Kartik they'll help you out,the last one sold went for about 70K the r1 movistar edition with slicks and under seat exhaust..n no you dont need a license..just short legs.LOL!
